We caught up with our pal Ricky James as he prepared for his X Games debut in the Adaptive MX class aboard his brand-new factory KTM 450SX-F. If you haven’t seen how well RJ rides without the use of his legs, this is a must-see!

seriously inspiring! RJ is amazing!
thts freakin awesome! good luck. you deserve to do well. its so great that technology can give you this oppurtunity. awwsome! and good luck once again!
Even more amazing than how well Ricky rides a bike is the fact that he’s leading the west coast truck series against the best drivers in the country. Ricky, I was getting gas at Green River awhile back and got a chance to meet your dad. He was talking to DB on the phone and just walked up to me and said, “Here, David wants to say hi”…I was tripping that he did that or even knew who I was. Anyway, he’s sure proud of you, and for good reason. You’ve made the whole motocross community proud to have you representing! Have fun at X and I’ll see you around!
Dude Ricky is badass. Wonder how he would be if he wasnt paralysed.
damn! he pops the clutch harder than i pop boners!!!!!!! love you man
thats sick but what happens when he crashes? andhow does he shift use both brakes and the clutch lever at the same time?
so cool
mad props to Rj dude i admire him good luck at X-games
RICKY IS STRAIGHT RIDICULOUS, THE GUY KILLS IT WHAT AN INSPIRATION TO ALL WHO GET THE PRIVILEGE TO KNOW HIM AND WATCH HIM RIDE. THIS GUYS GOT THE HEART OF A LION AND B#LLS OF STEEL. GOTTA GIVE IT UP FOR HIM…. WE SHOULD ALL LEARN A LESSON HERE, STOP WHINING AND GO RIDE!!! NOEL/STOMPGRIP.
Mad props RJ. Ashley Fiolek and you are a true inspiration to the sport.
Ricky, you are and insperation to all of us! Never give up holmes!
Man, I am SO impressed with Ricky’s attitude and dedication. Coming from some severe injuries myself, although I made a full recovery (shattered left femur, broken left arm, all ribs broken, punctured lungs, cracked sternum, separated right shoulder, and major concussion, all in ONE crash) I understand how scary it can be to go back to the sport that caused that injury in the first place!
Thanks Ricky, you go to show how hard work and dedication can overcome any obstacle!!!!
ballin!
we interviewed ricky this last week about his upcoming debut in the Adaptive X Games, his Nascar Truck Series title hunt, and his participation in Triathalons and the BAJA 500. In respect to his determination and perserverence, he is a true inspiration.
