Jacksonville Supercross Second Practice

With first practice jitters out of the way, riders headed out for the second practice of the day to lay down their fast laps. In the Lites class, the top two remained the same, with Christophe Pourcel and Austin Stroupe being making up the top two. However, in the third spot was Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM rider Wil Hahn, who has consistently had fast times all year, but bad luck and crashes have kept those times from helping him come race time. Let’s see if he can turn it around tonight. It is worth noting that Tyler Wharton showed up for the second practice aboard none other than Jason Lawrence’s YZ250f race bike. After his bike blew up in the first practice, J-Law offered up his West Coast Lites bike so Tyler could continue his evening.

In Supercross practice, James Stewart once again topped the lap charts but Chad Reed was not far behind.  They had a few words during practice and were seen purposely bumping elbows. It seems the pressure of the championship is beginning to build.  Rounding out the top five times were Josh Hill, Jason Lawrence, and Andrew Short. Be sure to check back in a few hours for this evening’s Race Report.
