With a break from Supercross this weekend, most of us in the US moto industry took advantage to catch up on some well-deserved rest. As most of you know, just five points separate Chad Reed and James Stewart in the premiere Supercross class heading into Seattle SX next week. And, Seattle will also welcome the West Coast Lites Regional Championshp back to racing action after a long hiatus. Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey has a slim two-point lead on Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Jake Weimer, while Weimer’s teammate, Ryan Morais, looms 11 points back in third. It is anyone’s game in the West Lites class with the two remaining rounds.
Dungey, Weimer, and Morais will resume their battle for the 2009 West Coast Lites title this weekend in Seattle.
In MXGP news, American Zac Osborne took the MX2 win at the GP of Turkey this weekend, while MX1 rookie, Antonio Cairoli nabbed his first MX1 overall and secured the red number plate, at least for the time being. Check out the highlights below…

oh man the BEST race this weekend woudl be if there was a huge pileup and stewart and reed got caught in it and had to start 19th and 20th. then that would be a real battle!

Maybe if Stewart rode a 125 it’d be closer.. just an idea FIM! lol.. So I guess the number 338 is fast wherever it goes? Way to go Zach! Great racing in both classes, thanks for the coverage Transworld!

Mine is clear no problem watchin. You know u can watch the whole race at freecaster.tv for free. How about that ehh. I told you guys the GP’s are ahead of us in coverage and everything. When are we gonna get to watch live sx on PC? They shoulda let youthstream run the AMA. Trust me they are better than DMG group. We just have ego not to let some outside company run the AMA.

I’m getting the same thing, blackout after thor logo

You don´t want to do that! The situation in Europe is not that sweet- do you know that the GP winner doesn´t get any money for a win? Some years ago every qualified rider for the GP got some money but the Youthstream changed the “rule”. That´s true that the TV and WEB coverage is getting better but there´s no motocross without riders…
Thay have to learn that if they want the sport to grow.
