Boost/ampm/Monster/Troy-JLaw Racing’s Jason Lawrence’s On The
Sidelines Until Colorado

Boost Mobile/ampm/Monster Energy/Troy-JLaw Racing team owner heeds
his doctor’s orders and will sit out High Point for a two-week rest

CARLSBAD, Calif., (June 12, 2009) – Former Supercross Lites
champion, Boost Mobile/ampm/Monster Energy/Troy-JLaw Racing’s Jason
Lawrence, has decided to sit out the High Point (Mt. Morris, Pa.)
round of the Lucas Oil AMA MX Nationals in order for the upper body
injury he suffered in a recent practice crash – and re-aggravated
this past week practicing at Glen Helen – to heal properly.

“I was told I’d be struggling with discomfort the entire summer if
I didn’t let it heal,” said Lawrence. “I hurt it again last week
at Glen Helen – before Freestone (Texas). Went out and rode practice
and was like ‘No way.’”

The break in the action following this weekend’s High Point round
will afford Lawrence more than two weeks (16 days) of heal time
before he throws a leg back over a bike for the Lakewood (Colo.) MX
National. “Yeah, I’m bummed I’ll miss High Point. It’s
excellent racing there – made a couple moto podiums,” added
Lawrence.

The team will still be well-represented at High Point this weekend as
both Nick Wey and Max Anstie will boot up under the Mobile/ampm/
Monster Energy/Troy-JLaw Racing awning. Wey’s no stranger to ripping
around the undulating and unforgiving terrain of Mt. Morris, Pa.,
scoring a 2nd place podium finish back in 2000 on 125s. And Anstie is
looking to put back-to-back top ten motos together after scoring one
each at the last two Nationals (Hangtown & Freestone).

Next up for the Boost Mobile/ampm/Monster Energy/Troy-JLaw Racing
team – including Nick Wey and Max Anstie - is this weekend’s High
Point round in Mt. Morris, Pa., round four of the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA
Pro Motocross Championships.

Generous sponsors of the Boost Mobile/ampm/Monster Energy/Troy-JLaw
Racing team include: 2XL, ONE Industries, FMF, Motul, Pro Taper,
Filtron, Dunlop, Enzo, Spy Optic, JMJE, RK Racing Chain, CSI
Construction, Dasa, CP Pistons, Acerbis, Leatt Brace, Sunline,
SixSixOne and Yamaha.

I've just been laughing everytime I here about this a$$ clown not finishing or not even starting racing, I guess karma's a beach.

  • BM739 Says:

its funny how you, along with so many others, only talk about people you hate. its a total waste of breath. instead of being stoked about your favorite rider, your in the safety of your home in front of your computer smack talking people. i bet anything you wouldnt have the balls to talk smack to his face. im not favoring lawrence, im just saying, come on dude.

  • pl65 Says:

JL is a small kid… maybe 5'6" and lucky if he weighs 140 pounds, I'm sure just about anybody wouldn't be afraid to say anything to his face, but I agree with most of what you're sayin' BM. Too much negativity.

  • parker Says:

this guys probably just old or slow. who the fuq wants to hear you complain

  • dgizzy Says:

dude everyone is hurt this season. Alessi out i thought it was a joke but its real. What a bummer he was sticking it to Reed now only Josh Grant ,Short and Tedesco have a shot at the consistent Reed. On the GP's Barragan is hurt which is a bummer. I just hope Max Nagle keeps Cairooli honest. What about that Kid Marvin Musquin. Thats a shocker. He switched teams in the middle of season and hasn't lost a race after that. In Europe KTM is the team thats killing it.

  • charger Says:

its not like this kid is a big tough guy, he's just a punk that i have met in person so why would anyone be scared to say something to his face? the only people he fights with are people smaller than him. he is very fast as i have seen first hand on my home track but nothing to be scared of. why dont you beat it kook!!!

  • 1024 Says:

i personally dont like all the bullshit that comes with lawrence and the idiotic crap that he does but i would still like to see him get out and spank some people. he is a fast kid, no doubt about it.

  • Malmsten Says:

Agree! A"s on or off the track…Fast riders are my kind of people!

  • Mark Says:

So who are you? LMAO you talk all this crap……uhhhh I dont see your name anywere on the AMA line up so you should just shove it, go ride , stop being a prick, we all ride because its the fun of the sport, if someone doesnt like someone off the track then either do somethin about it ( Like TRY to be as fast as lawrence so you would have an actual chance to take him : INTO ROW F as chad reed puts it ) ORRRRR heres another idea, just shut up about it, man your a tuff guy CB ;)

  • Simon Says:

Not only is Lawrence constantly cursed with bad luck (seemingly) and minor injuries and illness, he also seems to be in AMA's permanent no-pardon zone. Ontop of all that there's a million internet heroes who likes nothing more than to read of yet another of his misfortunes and laugh about it or express how much they hate him.
I mean yeah, he's done some dumb shit, but he's not freaking Hitler. Give him a break. I for one would love to see him ride more often. What we got to see in Daytona was awesome, I want more of it.

  • Analog Works Yamaha Says:

I'll drink to that. J-Law we need you back bro.

  • Jarrett Says:

I hope these CLOWNS are beginning to realize karma is a major bi-Otch. The only one of these guys that didn't deserve to be inujured from karma is RV2 and I think it is HILARIOUS he already stated he was basically glad to see Alessi get hurt. ALessi, his a$$ of a brother, and Lawrence are all punks - PERIOD! The only difference is Lawrence is the only idiot that is pi$$ing away his talent consistently. The irony is they are all CRAZY talented, but they are kids that don't learn. Grow up you pukes, motocross is a young man's sport and you won't be young forever.

  • oldmxer Says:

hey guys, everybody knows the kid can ride, but hes bi-polar or something like that and needs to be on somekinda medicine to help him stay focused from minute to minute, lol , cause hes not getting any younger and before long he'll be gone, andso will his support ……………………..mabe he has a.d.h.d or a.d.d

  • anonymous Says:

Lawrence is a focking dumb azz. Im glad his stoner azz is out. He's probably taking time off to get the drugs and alcohol pumped out of his stomach. I'd say that to J-Law's face no problem because he probably wouldn't be able to see me from being so drugged out. Alessi is no punk. Sure when he was growing up they had A LOT of misfortunes, but he works his azz off now and he didn't deserve to get hurt.

  • KJ245 Says:

is this kid ever gonna ride again? it seeems like ever since indy supercross "which i attended with high hopes to see him race" he just has excuse after excuse and suspention after suspention to not race!! im really dissapointed on how this season is going down, the only highlight is alessi!! amazing start to the season by the way and hope your better soon mikeyyyy!!

  • No chance Says:

"Believe the Hype"…This isn't Loretta Lynn's, RV2 will drop the hammer on Alessi's punk ace anytime! Alessi is fast, but MX takes speed and technical skills. Alessi's technique is pin it and hold on for life. Villapodium proved it twice, its just too bad he couldn't leave him behind 22 more times! There's always next year Nationals…cause you don't hear a word about Mikey during SX.

  • nonsellout Says:

if you talk crap about j-law, your just a trendy who should buy some pookah shells like rv and dungey. i know you guys all have some type of fox sticker on your truck as well just so eveyone knows how bad ass you are. like "no chance" over here talking about speed and technical skills making up gay words like villapodium…you guys seriously remind me of frat boys with big egos. keep up the good work in being the 'playboys" of motocross making the sport look as gay as possible so my friends and i have people to make fun of. in the mean time ihope jason feels better he is one of the few who knows whats up.

  • onefishstick Says:

Jason can EASILY beat everyone that isn't hurt. I don't know any one of these guy's well enough to say anything good or bad about them. I doubt anyone who makes these ridiculous comments does either. Sounds like a bunch of teenage girls cackling.
