Riders headed out for the first set of practices and were pleasantly surprised to find a pretty good racing surface. Aside from the small rocks that are typically littering the track, both the soil and layout seem to be well received. So far Christophe Pourcel holds the best lap time in the Lites practices with a 57.5, nearly a whole second ahead of Ryan Sipes with the second best time. In the Supercross Class, Ryan Dungey is just a hair ahead of Ryan Villopoto with a 57.3 compared to RV’s 57.7.
The track is a little different this time around, with a few slight curvatures to some rhythm lanes, and a unique roller section before the finish line. Stay tuned to find out more as race time approaches.
