McGrath to Make Pro 4 Unlimited Debut

Supercross Champ Jeremy McGrath Takes Pro Truck Racing Career to the Next Level
Driver Debut in a Pro 4 Unlimited, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, May 22nd and 23rd

Los Angeles, CA — May 14, 2010 – Seven-time AMA Supercross Champion, Jeremy McGrath, will make his Pro 4 Unlimited (4 Wheel Drive/850+HP) debut as a guest driver as part of the StrongHold Motorsports team when the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series makes its second visit of the 2010 season to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on May 22nd and 23rd.

McGrath, who has seen multiple podiums in his three yeas as a full time short course off road racing pro, returns to his driver duties in the Pro 2 Unlimited (2WD/850+HP) class as part of the Monster Energy/Toyota-backed Greaves Motorsports Team racing TORC’s Crandon, WI, June 19th and 20th.

An enthusiastic McGrath spoke about the eminent race opportunity, “I’m having an incredible experience competing in the Pro 2 class as part of Greaves Motorsports. Having the opportunity to race alongside Johnny Greaves, one of the greatest short course drivers of all time, allows me to learn from the best as we continue to develop the Pro 2 program with the Monster Energy/Toyota Greaves Motorsports team. Now — I’m excited to have a shot in a Pro 4, with Scott Bailey and the StrongHold team. I’ve had a chance to practice in Johnny’s truck — next weekend I get to put that practical experience to the test and see how I match up against the best in that class! I’m grateful to Scott Bailey, Johnny, my sponsors, and everyone involved that helped make this all come together.”

The Jeremy McGrath driven Pro 4, in the StrongHold Motorsports arsenal, represents a significant addition to the Superteam lineup that boasts 2009 Pro Buggy Champion Chuck Cheek and past ProLite champions Rob Naughton and Marty Hart. “Our team is constantly developing and we are never content resting on our laurels,” declared StrongHold Team Owner Scott Bailey. “We were able to obtain a Pro 4 Unlimited truck to add to our roster and being able to put a superstar like Jeremy McGrath behind the wheel for our first race was a great fit. Jeremy not only has had great success, but like us, he is very family oriented. We are excited to have him as part of our team for this race.”

When asked about his plans post the Vegas Motor Speedway race, McGrath had this say, “I’ve got my Pro 2 truck prepped and ready to go and plan on actually heading to Crandon to test within the next two weeks. Right now, I’ve got my eye on this upcoming Pro 4 race and super pumped for this opportunity!”

Jeremy McGrath’s Personal 2010 sponsors include Monster Energy Drink; American Honda; Parts Unlimited; Thor; Spy Optics; DC Shoes; Troy Lee Designs; Kicker Audio; and Motorcycle Mechanics Institute.
