What seemed like a potentially cool obstacle in the Freestyle course turned into a pretty lame one. This rainbow wall thingy served more mini jump than anything else; although Pastrana did wall ride it with one hand.

Young Levi Sherwood, TWMX's 2009 FMX Rookie of the Year had a strong showing in Freestyle. We think he has a racer's riding style, and he looks extremely comfortable on the bike, even with his giant trick extensions. He took silver, edging out the veteran Nate Adams.

Jeff "Ox" Kargola had all the style in Step Up. He whipped it nearly every time he sailed over the bar.

Ox's style, however, wouldn't get him into medal contention. He couldn't get his bike re-situated a couple times before landing, and couldn't ride out his jumps. Even though he cleared the bar, his jumps couldn't be counted because he didn't ride them out.

Matt Buyten, who usually does well at Step Up, but never seems to clinch it, finally got his gold. Ronnie Renner would have to settle for silver.
