FLU DESIGNS PLEATED SEAT COVER
APPLICATION: Most modern MXers (Tested here on the 2010 Honda CRF450R)
COLORS: Black
PRICE: $49.99
RATING: 9
KEY FEATURES:
-Designed to maximized grip
-Pleats only fold back, making it easier to slide forward but not backwards
-Entire seat is made from gripper material
WHAT WE LIKED:
-Grip on the seat when seat bouncing or sliding up for a turn was drastically increased
-Pleats add to design but don’t hinder movement
-Easy to grip with legs when standing
-Black color goes well with any bike
WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE:
-Some testers felt it provided too much grip
-After about a month of use, pleats began to tear backwards
WHAT WE REALLY THINK:
If you’re the type of rider that is looking for whatever there is to make you faster, the Flu pleated seat cover will help, because although it might seem minor, being held in place better is always a good thing. The added grip makes it easier to stay forward for turns and the seat holds you in place firmly for seat bouncing. Although some of the pleats began to tear backwards, the overall durability of the seat is nearly as good as any we’ve tested.
