With the 2010 Red Bull Motocross of Nations rapidly approaching this weekend at the picturesque Thunder Valley MX facility in Lakewood, Colorado, we thought we would compile some information if you plan on attending or just following the race online.
Budds Creek in 2007 was the last time the prestigious race visited the United States. That year, thousands of fans flocked to Maryland to watch Team USA—which consisted of Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto, and Tim Ferry—decimate the field, winning every moto. With home court advantage this year, the team of Ryan Dungey, Trey Canard, and Andrew Short is looking to continue the win streak of Team USA. They will, however, have to get through a hungry pack of international racers.

THE TRACK:
For six years now, Colorado has played host to a round of the Lucas Oils AMA Motocross Championship Series, but this is the first time that it will be the home of the Red Bull Motocross of Nations.
A few changes have been made to the track to bring it up to spec for FIM competition, but by and large, the Thunder Valley course remains much the same as it has for the past few nationals.
