ROSSI PROJECT RIDE DAY
Saturday brought about the second Rossi Project Ride day in support of Ross Maeda and his recovery from injuries sustained in last year’s crash.   Just past the 1-year anniversary of the crash, Ross has made a lot of progress in his recovery effort.  His blog at Rossiproject.com tracks his recovery and his thoughts throughout the past year.  He has also posted up some great photos from years past.  This weekend’s benefit ride day was held at Starwest MX park in Perris, CA.  The Starwest management donated the use of their track and proceeds toward Ross’ benefit, and provided a perfectly prepared track in the morning for the scores of riders that attended.  The track was busy all day, and despite the traffic, the track delivered fun for all riders.  Several pro riders came out to the event, some even donating items to help raise money.  The day was a great success, and Ross spent quite a bit of time socializing with the crowd.
