The Supercross series took a well-deserved weekend off, but there was still plenty happening at the track, including the Spy Ride Day and the Ian Trettel Benefit Day, both at Pala Raceway. Check out some of the action from the two events…
Spy Optic held a cool ride day at Pala Raceway on April 20th to formally unveil their new permanent trackside structure. Riders can escape the sun under this giant roof coined the Spy Shady Spot. With Wahoo’s serving tacos under the structure, some product giveaways, and riding, Spy had all the fixings for a good time.
The April issue of TransWorld Motocross was on display under the Spy Shady Spot. The cover, however, wasn’t the only sign of Jeremy McGrath at Pala. The King, himself, came out to ride, eat tacos, and kick it with the rest of the moto crew.
A Holeshot Challenge and pit bike race were just a few of the extra-curricular activities during the day, but they were the only ones that offered a Bobblehead trophy to the winners.
MC put in a ton of laps during the day, making us all wish he would be lining up at a Supercross or a National in 2011.
Nick Wey was on hand at the Pala ride day as well. He met up with the TWMX crew to spin some laps on our two-stroke YZ250. After having a lot of fun on the track, he decided to load it up and take it home. We hope he stills answers our calls.
