Jason Lawrence was so under the radar in Hangtown, that no one even saw him. The often-troubled rider was slated to race for the ARMA Energy/Suzuki City squad alongside Malcolm Stewart, but there was no sign of him this weekend. According to Lawrence's agent Scott Sepkovic, no one has been able to track J-Law down for the past three weeks.

WORCS badass Ricky Dietrich joined the line-up of 450 riders this weekend to race the Hangtown National aboard a Rockstar/Valli Yamaha. He put in a solid performance finishing ninth overall with 11-9 moto scores.

Dietrich’s fellow off-road mate Mike Brown made the trip to Hangtown as well to race his number 3 KTM. He also finished respectably with a 15th overall.

Japanese racer Akira Narita lined up this weekend and enlisted the services of Jason Lawrence’s former mechanic, Masa Ito.

Christophe Pourcel debuted his new look, or at least his temporary look, at Hangtown. Since his departure from the Pro Circuit squad to seek out a 450 ride, Pourcel has been mostly seen in Fox gear. This weekend, however, he wore Oneal gear, no doubt due to his signing with the MotoConcepts team.
