Fuel TV Airing Red Bull X-Fighters Brazil Sunday, May 29

Exclusive U.S. Telecast begins at 8:00PM ET/5:00PM PT

LOS ANGELES – FUEL TV will telecast the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour stop from Brasilia, Brazil on Sunday, May 29 at 8:00PM ET/5:00PM PT in a spectacular two-hour show. Watch the world’s 12 best freestyle motocross (FMX) athletes take over the heart of Brasilia, Brazil’s capital, performing in front of an expected 60,000 fans and an expert panel of judges. The winner of the second stop of the world famous FMX tour will be crowned for his feats on the Esplanada dos Ministeros, the “Avenue of the Ministries,” that has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Danny Torres is widely regarded as the front-runner going into the battle in Brazil after the Spaniard secured his fifth career victory in the 2011 season opener in Dubai last month to take the world tour lead. Norway’s Andre Villa and defending champion Nate Adams are hot on his heels. Adams promises new tricks in Brazil: “It’s enormously tight at the top,” says Adams. “One mistake and you’ll end up in the paddock as a loser. Everyone has to go to the outer limit.”

This is the second time the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour has returned to Brazil. In 2008, Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg jumped his way to victory in the Carnival mecca of Rio de Janeiro. “The Sambadrome in Rio was packed and the atmosphere was unbelievable,” says rider Robbie Maddison. “I’m sure the reception we’ll get in the capital this year will be just as frenetic. We’ll have lots of new tricks.”

There are six Red Bull X-Fighters events in 2011 on four continents around the world. After the showdown in Brazil, the tour moves to the Eternal City of Rome on June 24. Then the title battles heads to the bullfighting arena of Madrid on July 15 and continues in the new European soccer championship stadium in Warsaw on August 6. The world finale takes place in Australia. The Red Bull X-Fighters will be competing in Sydney for the first time on September 17. FUEL TV telecasts all events exclusively in the United States.
