With the heat index reaching upwards of 120 degrees, the National at Millville was just about as hot as they come. Many riders found it hard to stay hydrated, and a lot were forced to drop out of their motos. Besides the heat, though, the racing action proved to be great. However, there was more to see than what was just on TV, so check it out!

The weather in Millville was another hot and very humid day and many fans still had Josh Lichtle in their minds as the day kicked off.

The Millville area had torrential downpours the day and night before the races, which left the track full of mud. The track crew was busy early in the day to shape up the track and keep the program on schedule.

The day before the races, they pushed dirt back up onto the track in anticipation of the rain. The next day they pushed the mud off the track and although the first practices were soft and muddy, the track surface was in great shape compared to the early morning.

The Spring Creek fans were hardcore. In spite of the rain, heat and humidity, they were lined up at the gates of the pits long before they opened to get in to see their favorite riders.
