Steel City National – Practice Gallery

Qualifying at the second-to-last round of the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championships at Steel City Raceway in Delmont, Pennslyvania, has concluded and racing is soon to follow. In spite of some rain in the days leading up to the race, the track is in excellent condition with deep ruts forming everywhere. Some riders have commented that it’s a little slippery, however, it might break in even more by the time racing begins.

In the 250 class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson posted the fastest time of 2:30.816. Behind him Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin posted the second fastest time of 2:31.048, and completing the top-three was Rockstar Suzuki’s Martin Davalos with a time of 2:31.086.

In the 450 class, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto turned in the quickest time of 2:25.542 followed by his Championship rival Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey with a time of 2:28.450.
