WMX RACING
Two motos of good racing highlighted the Motorcycle-Superstore.com Women’s Motocross Championship during the second-to-last round of the series. In both motos, DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Jessica Patterson took dominating wins ahead of the entire field. Factory Honda’s Ashley Fiolek managed to grab the holeshot in both motos, but in both races was quickly overtaken, ultimately finishing third and second in the two motos, respectively. Behind the two championship contenders in the overall, Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda’s Tarah Gieger went 2-3 for third overall. Heading into the final round at Pala Raceway, Fiolek holds a 22-point lead over Patterson.
