2011 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations – Friday

The Monster Energy Motocross of Nations weekend has begun in Saint Jean d’Angely, France, as press conferences and rider introductions took place this afternoon. Tomorrow with consist of practice and qualifying races to determine starting position for Sunday’s main events. Team USA—Ryan Dungey, Ryan Villopoto, and Blake Baggett—is looking to take home their 22nd win and seventh in a row this weekend. The track features many elevation changes and some very cool looking sections. The dirt on the track also contains tons of rocks with many of the riders commenting that chest protectors and hand guards are going to be mandatory.
