: Most two-stroke MXers
PRICE: Pipe starting at $174.99 ($249.99 as tested on KTM 150SX), silencer $119.99

FEATURES
The Factory Fatty pipe from FMF is designed to enhance the powerband throughout the range of your two-stroker, while the Shorty silencer improves the hit down low and into the mid-range, due to its shorter core length. The Factory Fatty is lighter than stock, and its seams are hand-pounded to smooth the flow transitions.
WHAT WE LIKE
-The combination of the pipe and silencer help smooth the transition from bottom to top of our very snappy KTM 150SX. The 150SX has a giant hit on top, and the FMF exhaust opens up the rest of the band to tame the light switch feel.
-The Shorty silencer definitely provides noticeable gain in the low- and mid-range.
-The Factory Fatty pipe instantly gives your two-stroke the classic “works” look.
-The Shorty silencer is extremely small and low-profile, so there is little chance of damaging it tucked up underneath the side plate.
-Installation is an absolute no-brainer breeze.
-The silencer cackles a more crisp, pitchy note than stock.
WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE
-The Factory Fatty pipe is raw metal, so it definitely requires plenty of TLC in between rides to avoid rust buildup, although, the “works” look is well worth it.
-The combo doesn’t add much to the top, although our 150SX is already has a beastly top end.
WHAT WE REALLY THINK
Two-strokes are alive and well. And there is nothing better on a two-stroke than a raw metal pipe to give it that “works” look and a silencer to really celebrate the classic sound. The FMF combo not only provided the look and sound, it also gave our little two-stroke more grunt down low, as well as some more love in the mid-range.
