Monster Energy Cup Supercross – Practice

Practice for the inaugural Monster Energy Cup Supercross race has concluded at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Picking up where he left off back in May where he won the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship at the same stadium, Monster Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto posted the quickest qualifying time of 1:27.761. Behind him—and in a later entry as of this past Wednesday—was Red Bull KTM’s newest recruit Ryan Dungey with a time of 1:28.317. Third fastest went to privateer Suzuki-mounted Mike Alessi, who in spite of a hard crash in the second session still posted a time of 1:28.817.

In the Supermini class, Team Green’s Adam Cianciarulo was in a class of his own, turning in a time almost two seconds quicker than the next fastest rider, Blake Green. The Amateur All-Star Invitational also featured numerous up-and-coming riders with Zachary Bell rising above the rest to post the fastest qualifying time in the class.
