Race Report – Monster Energy Cup

Amateur All-Stars Invitational

With a talent-packed field it was anyone’s guess as to who would take home the title in the Amateur All-Star class. In the first moto, Geico Honda’s Zach Bell jumped out to the early lead and quickly took command of the race as he rode away for the win ahead of fellow Honda riders Cole Thompson and Austin Pollitelli. In the second moto, however, Bell’s luck didn’t go as well with Kawasaki’s Justin Hill taking the early lead and running away for the win. Hill’s first moto fourth combined with his second moto win was enough to better Politelli’s 3-2 score, and after finishing fourth in the second moto, Bell’s overall chances were flushed away. Bell finished fourth overall with Cole Thompson taking third.
