Favorite Cover – Josh Hansen/May 2011

Having Josh Hansen on the cover, sans bike or gear, was a huge leap forward for motocross magazines as a whole in my eyes. This sounds like sacrilege to the moto world, but it honestly gets tiring to see the same style cover on one of the four major magazines each and every month, and it’s made even worse when one rider scores multiple covers at the same time. As a result of Shane Kinman’s addition to the staff as Art Director, the magazine now has a look all it’s own, one that jumps off the newsstand ahead of the competition.
