Phoenix 2012 SX: Final Practice Results

Practice for round two of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series has concluded inside Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. The track this week is much different than the tight turn filled Anaheim I course, boasting a sand section and numerous rhythm sections for riders to negotiate. In the 450 class, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto put down the fastest qualifying lap of the day in the final session. Behind Villopoto, TwoTwo Motorsports/Honda’s Chad Reed turned in the second quickest time with Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey third.

JGR/Toyota/Yamaha’s James Stewart has reportedly been feeling under the weather all day and elected to sit out the second session. In the first session, Stewart posted the fastest time, but was bumped out of the top-five to sixth in times after sitting out the final session.

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Dean Wilson was the fastest qualifier in the 250 class.

In the 250 class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson turned in the fastest time during the second qualifying session. Behind him, Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac was second quickest with Yamaha-mounted Zach Osborne third quickest.
