After six rounds of racing, the Muscle Milk TransWorld Motocross Winter Cup has come to a close. The Southern California race series took over the Competitive Edge MX Park in Hesperia, CA, for two days and set the stage for the final event of the season. The challenging, choppy track tested even the most capable of riders, which made them earn their victories.
Every round of the Winter Cup was filled with exciting battles and great memories, as over 400 entries filed in to all six races. With support from the biggest names in the motocross industry, the vendor’s row was filled with retailers and manufacturers. BTO Sports and Posca Motorsports had all that a racer would need on hand for sale, while etnies and Hon Moto displayed their latest casual clothes. Bell Helmets and Leatt Brace showed the latest in safety equipment and Leatt presented one lucky online entrant with the Club 3 neck brace. Winners of the point championships were awarded with apparel and supplements from Muscle Milk.
The weather for the two-day event was picturesque, as the seventeen motos were run under clear skies and sunshine. Preston Tilford, Cody Young, Kevin Weisbruch, and Kyle Wolack established the pace in the pro class and kept the battles close. But the thrilling duels were not limited to only the expert ranks, as each and every moto showcased the excitement that brought the racers to the line.
Though round six of the Winter Cup marked the end of this series, the first round of the Spring Cup series is just around the corner. The opening race will be held at Cahuilla Creek MX on March 25th. We hope to see you there for another great season of racing.
