Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series Profile: Cris Judd

Cris Judd, 42

Vet motocross brings together people from all aspects of life as it is a common passion shared by people of many different disciplines.  There are construction workers, lawyers, salesman, engineers, and living in Southern California, there are also people from the entertainment industry.  Cris Judd is an accomplished artist in the entertainment industry and like many of the other vet class racers, comes out to the races to forget about the day to day rat race and spend the day with friends and to pursue their passion.  We sat down with Cris to learn a little more about why he races and how he got started riding motorcycles.

How long have you been riding?
I started riding when I was 12, my father got me a 1977 Honda XR75 and I rode that for a while, but I’ve always ridden street bikes.  I continue to ride and I also have a Ducati Sport Classic.
What else do you do besides ride motorcycles?
I am a professional choreographer, work in entertainment and am a director. I grew up surfing and playing golf.  I was pursing golf at one point as a career but then got persuaded to the entertainment industry.  I still play golf on the side but I am getting into the motocross and riding more.

So as a vet class racer, what does racing do for you?
It’s a cool competition, especially when you are racing against guys your own age.  I’m fairly new to racing, this is my first year of racing.  I’ve crashed a couple times, got knocked out once, but it’s a lot of fun and it’s a great atmosphere to come hang out with the guys here.

As a new racer, how do you like the Transworld Series?
It’s fun, a lot of fun.   You get a lot of supporters out here and it is great racing.   I wish I could do it more, and even ride more so I could compete in my class a little better.
