250 Moto One:
When the 250 class thundered to the first turn, Geico Honda’s Justin Barcia rounded the first turn in the lead ahead of Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen and Star Racing/VMS/Yamah’s Kyle Peters. As the laps continued, Barcia held onto the lead before Roczen was able to work his way around the Honda rider and into first. As the laps continued, Roczen led the way with Barcia not far behind and Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac in third—who had worked his way up after a sixth-place start. After only five laps, though, Roczen managed to take over the lead from Barcia, and from there, the KTM rider held onto the lead until things got really interesting on the final lap.
With less than one lap remaining, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett had worked his way up from the back and began pressuring Barcia for second. With roughly a half a lap remaining, Baggett managed to work his way around Barcia and then with one straight remaining, made a pass on Roczen to take the moto victory.

250 Moto 2:
The start of the second moto looked much like the first, however, Baggett had a much better start and was in third on the first lap. A few corners into the race, second place Roczen tipped over in a corner and handed Baggett second. From there, Baggett began to set his sights on Barcia up front. On the fourth lap, Baggett found his way past Barcia. Baggett took over the lead and never looked back.
As the laps wound down, Baggett held onto a comfortable lead ahead of Barcia in second and Roczen in third. When the checkered flag flew, Baggett took the win ahead of Barcia and Roczen. The most impressive charge, though, was from Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac who went down in the first turn, remounted, and finished a very respectable 10th to salvage valuable points.
