Freestone National MX – Practice Report

The temperatures are rising here in Freestone, Texas, for round two of the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championship series, and qualifying practice has concluded. In the 450 class, Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart turned in the quickest lap time with a time of 1:59.126. Almost two seconds back was Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey with a time of 2:01.096. Third went to JWR/DNA Energy/Kawasaki’s Josh Grant with a time of 2:01.114.

In the 250 class, Rockstar Suzuki’s Jason Anderson was the top qualifier with a time of 2:02.535. Second went to Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen with a time of 2:02.601, and third was fellow teammate Marvin Musquin with a time of 2:02.624. Last week’s winner, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett was slightly off the pace in sixth with a time of 2:03.262. Only a select few riders were airing it out into the huge roller section. Top 250 class qualifier Rockstar Suzuki's Jason Anderson was one of them.
