Corona, CA (June 4, 2012) – Pro Taper’s Justin Barcia returned to his winning ways this weekend at Thunder Valley Motocross Park in Lakewood, CO. The Geico Honda mounted rider battled near the front in the opening events, but finally notched his first win of the season at round three.
Barcia, the 2012 East Coast SX Lites champion, now sits in second place in the MX championship points. Teammate Eli Tomac, also fresh off a SX Lites championship, currently sits fourth, well within striking distance of the top spot.
Pro Taper riders accounted for 60% of the top ten overall positions in the 250 class at this weekend’s Thunder Valley National. This is a remarkable feat and speaks volumes for the teams and riders that put their trust in Pro Taper. Congratulations to Justin Barcia, Eli Tomac, Malcolm Stewart, Wil Hahn, Kyle Cunningham and Jake Canada for their top ten finishes.
Round four of the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship moves east to Mt. Morris, PA this Saturday June 9th. Be sure to tune in to Pro Taper’s social media sites for updates throughout the day.
