The podium trophies for this year’s Nationals have differed at each round. While some have been incredibly cool, some have been, well, “unique.” The awards at Unadilla were run-of-the mill, with a red light that illuminated the plastic centers.

After winning moto one, his first in the US, Ken Roczen began to feel incredibly sick and depleted. A clearly spent Roczen stated in the press conference later that he thinks it is the first signs of the flu, which make his podium finish much more impressive.

Jake Weimer was on of the many to ride the Asterisk Medical Mule at Unadilla. The rutted track claimed a number of racers, including Zach Bell and Stewart. Many stated it was the most treacherous conditions they have faced this year.

Weimer was understandably sore following his get-off, and parked himself in a chair by the staging area before heading the second moto.
