Geico Honda’s Justin Bogle – winner of the 2011 TransWorld SLAM – just confirmed his entry in this year’s Fourth Annual TransWorld SLAM, to be held Saturday, October 13, at Lake Elsinore MX Park. Bogle becomes the first SLAM Champion to return to defend his title, and is expecting to do so on a new 2013 Honda CRF450R. “The TransWorld SLAM is a fun race with a unique format that makes it really enjoyable,” said Bogle. “There’s definitely some pressure with the two-lap sprints, but winning the $5000 prize and getting the cover shot makes it all worthwhile. I’m pumped to be the first SLAM Champ to come back for more.” Bogle win last year’s SLAM by enduring a malfunctioning automatic decompression mechanism on his CRF450R. While his mechanic raced to remedy the problem, Bogle raced a borrowed bike to his heat race and semi final wins.
