ELI TOMAC
In the weeks leading up to the opening round of the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross Season, I got to watch Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac spin some laps on a few private Supercross test tracks. The first thing I noticed about him was his increased intensity and speed. He almost looked like a different rider than the Tomac everyone saw in 2011. During the main event at Anaheim I, Tomac got a bad start and was forced to climb his way up towards the front. Every lap he scrubbed the first base line triple harder than any did all night. This photo was taken towards the middle of the race and Eli still wasn’t backing off.
