TransWorld Business Exposure Meter : October

After a switch to Suzuki and his results in the opening portion of the 2012 Nationals, James Stewart was easily the most discussed figure in three motocross magazines’ October editions.

Our number-savy counterparts at TransWorld Business have released their latest tabulation of photos, ads, and edit in the three major motocross print magazines (TWMX, Racer X, Motocross Action). Due to the nature of print media and the time it takes to add all the figures together, none of these stories will seem like breaking news, but the impact certain riders have in the sport is always eye opening.

James Stewart’s signing to Suzuki and the hit-and-miss summer of racing with injury made him the most discussed and photographed rider in the October issues, but that was still not enough to overtake Ryan Villopoto. Although RV missed the entire summer to injury, his banner year in 2012 and the continued dominance of early 2013 make him the darling of edit and¬†advertisements.

The five-page report goes further than the track, as they even pit the industry’s photographers and brands against one another for bragging rights. In those categories, Simon Cudby and American Honda take the top honors.
