The riverfront city is known to many for its beer and BBQ, but racers praise it for the best dirt of any stop on the schedule. The Edward Jones Dome is seated on the northern end of historic downtown St. Louis and countless restaurants, hotels, casinos, and bars are within feet of its entrance, namely in the Landing district of town. STL is a major city in the Midwest and the race draws spectators from the neighboring Plains states.
