Enough Practice, Let’s Race!

As you can imagine, anticipation and nervous energy are permeating in the pits at Angel Stadium. Anaheim I always contracts a buzz, but this year seems to be at an all-time high. With a fully healthy, stacked 450 class lining up for the first time in quite some time, the gate drop can’t seem to come soon enough. Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac logged the fastest lap times on both Lites practice sessions, edging out Ken Roczen and teammate Zach Osborne. Tomac’s fast laps and red number-one plate reminded everyone who is the man to beat tonight in 250cc racing.
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto also did his number plate justice by posting the fastest lap in the first practice session, but Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart stole the top overall spot in the final practice session.
