Practice at Anaheim 3

Mostly cloudy skies loomed overhead as Supercross’ elite took to the track inside Angel Stadium for the third and final Anaheim round of the 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series. Dirt Wurx built yet another technical track with unorthodox rhythm sections and a nasty pack of whoops that have already claimed more than a few riders during practice. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto and Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen clicked off the fastest laps in their respective classes in the first qualifying sessions of the day, but both were trumped in the second practices by their competition. Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart ripped the hot lap to take the first gate of the night in the 450 class, while Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac snuck in a fast lap of his own to take the top spot in the Lites class. JGRMX’s Josh Grant got into the 450 mix, as well, today, posting the third fastest lap just behind RV2 and Stewart. It’s gonna be a good one tonight. Do not miss it!
