WHAT IT IS
| Pant -Premium high strength nylon and polyester fabrics prove long-lasting durability -Stretch panels create freedom of movement -Genuine leather knees resist burning -Pre-shaped knees allow room for all braces |
Jersey -Multiple performance fabrics provide moisture-wicking properties -Fade-free sublimated graphics -Comfortable self-fabric v-neck collar design -Extra-long tail stays tucked in lap after lap |
HITS
-The silicone strips on top of the shoulders kept our neck brace in place as we navigated our way around the rough Glen Helen track.
-The waist features a loop and velco strap that allows you to dial in your size a little better.
-With the pre-shaped knees, we never felt like our knee braces were getting caught up inside our pants, which made for a comfortable ride.
-Although it never got hot enough for us to test the moisture-wicking properties implemented into the jersey, we did notice that the jersey was extremely light and comfortable.
-The length of the jersey was pretty spot on. The sleeves never rode up our arms, or were too baggy, and the tail of the jersey never came untucked.
MISSES
-For our taller riders, the pant was on the verge of coming out of our boot.
-The glove felt a tad big.
THE VERDICT
When we saw Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jake Weimer debut the Answer Racing Elite Racewear at Anaheim I a few weeks back, we knew that we had to get our hands on a set! With a simplistic design, the Elite gear is appealing to all age groups. As for the fit, the Elite is one of the most comfortable gear sets we’ve ever tried. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to purchase this set of gear until March 2013.
