The first series of the second year of the Transworld Muscle Milk Race Series neared its end with a two day finale at Competitive Edge MX. Many tight battles in every class throughout the season were on the verge of completion and there were several riders in every class looking to score points toward the championship in Round 5 on the Saturday of the weekend finale.
The West Coast Supercross season is on hold as the series moved east, and the Lucas Oil Troy Lee Honda team took advantage of the down time to begin testing their outdoor setups at Competitive Edge. The TLD team of Cole Seely, Christian Craig and Jessy Nelson were joined by their amateur team of Justin Hoeft and Shane McElrath. Troy Lee and his son also competed to complete the full contingent of the team. Jessy Nelson held off Shane McElrath in the 250 class in a very fast race. Other pro racers in attendance included Antonio Balbi, Kyle Wolack and Sean Lippanovich to help fill the pro gates.
The series sponsors filled the vendor area with displays and product for everyone to see their latest offering. The Muscle Milk team was handing bottles of every flavor of Muscle Milk and two of the Yamaha motorcycles that will be given away at the end of the year were on display near the the sign-up area.
