Ahh… Remember the days when you used to pull into a track, roll down the windows, and smell the sweet, sweet smell of two-stroke premix floating through the air? For us, it instantly made us excited to ride. Nowadays, that doesn’t even happen because four-strokes have taken over the motocross community for numerous reasons; which is why many manufacturers have stopped producing 125s and 250s. Yamaha has kept the two-stroke revolution alive by continuing to produce a full two-stroke lineup. We recently got our hands on a 2013 Yamaha YZ125, took it out to Competitive Edge in Hesperia, California, and outfitted it with a few performance boosting parts to keep us pinned around the track. Pat Foster took the controls of our little two-banger, and reminded us why two-strokes are so much fun…
