Pressures of the Red Plate

Though its inclusion to Monster Energy Supecross is rather recent, the “red plate” is what all racers want their bikes to be adorned with. It signifies that you are in control of the championship and that on any given night you are a favorite to take the win. But, what about when you get it? Is there increased pressure to keep the others at bay? Do you feel like it is more a target than an honor? Or is there any difference at all? With this in mind, we asked four riders who have run the background this season or are in the position to get it in the near future.
