The Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series hit Glen Helen Raceway for round four of the 2013 Summer Cup. Turnouts at the San Bernardino circuit was impressive, and more than a few classes filled the 40-person gate that led into the famed Talledega sweeper, but racing on the two tracks wrapped up well before 3PM. The on-track action was as intense as ever, and with only a handful of motos remaining in the championship, every racer strived to do their best.
Justin Jones, son of former professional racing hero Gary Jones, swept all four of his Pro class motos and claimed the lion’s share of the purse money. Miles McDonald and Ian Smith swapped wins in the stacked SuperMini class, but McDonald’s second moto victory gave the Long Beach racer the overall. Gavin Todora bested the field 0f the 250 Novice class, while Chris Swanson took top honors in the 450 Novice group. Jeremy Byrne continued his reign of rule in the both the 250 Intermediate and Schoolboy championships with overall wins in both classes.
