The Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series made its second stop for the second round of the Northern California Fall Cup at Club Moto in Livermore. After rains hit the track during Saturday’s practice, many were hoping the weather would hold off for the next day’s race. Although there were many clouds in the sky, every moto on Sunday went off without a problem.
Preston Mull swept all four motos of the 450 Pro and Open Pro divisions, and the two overall victories capped off his great day on the track. Fellow pro Kinser Endicott, may have not finished off the races as well, but his perseverance to continue racing through the day to take 2-2 finishes after a crash in practice and the necessary repairs to his machine show he has the determination of a racer.
There was simply no match for Gage Knecht in the SuperMini and 8-11 85/150 classes. Minimal mistakes in all of the right lines made for consistent finishes, and Knecht claimed the overall wins in both divisions.
One of the best things about a motocross race is that you find many people willing to encourage and help out, especially during the Pee-Wee motos. In almost every corner of the track there is a parent cheering and clapping as them going by, even if it is not their rider. You hear it all on the line, as proud parents explain the track or the rider how great they are doing.
The next stop on the Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series NorCal Fall Cup schedule is MMX in Marysville, California on October 27th. Online entry is available until Friday, October 25th at 9am. See you at the track…
