DITD16: Coup De Grace GP Survival Race

DITD16: Coup De Grace GP Survival Race

Coup De Grace top three: Blake Savage (left), Toby Price (right), and Ivan Ramirez (center).

Out of all of races at Red Bull Day In The Dirt, the Coup De Grace is by far the gnarliest. It’s the final race of the three-day event, and it goes until the checkered flag flies—no time limit or set number of laps; they call it when they call it. If you have the stomach to race it, you will only know how much time you have left when you see the white flag flapping in the wind. At this year’s DITD16, 133 racers of all skill levels lined up to participate, and when the checkered flag finally did fly after just over an hour of racing, it was Blake Savage who crossed the line first to claim the prestigious win.
