Bogle Takes Over | 2014 New Jersey SX

GEICO Honda’s Justin Bogle came to the New Jersey Supercross with one thing on his agenda: win his second 250 East Coast main event of the year and take over the championship lead. With series points leader Martin Davalos of the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team knocked out of action with a weekday riding crash, the door was wide open for Bogle to capitalize and make a serious bid for his first professional title. And Bogle did just what he came to do: the Oklahoma native won both his heat race and the 15-lap main event in dominant fashion, leading Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin and privateer Vince Friese across the finish line.

Monster Energy 250 East Coast Regional Championship

Justin Bogle | 1st Place

Justin Bogle ignored the hype and pressure coming into the MetLife Stadium and turned in a flawless performance aboard his GEICO Honda CRF250R. After starting fourth, Bogle sliced through the field and took control of the lead early on, passing his teammate Matt Bisceglia. Once into the lead, he was never challenged, although some lappers slowed him on a couple occassions. Bogle is the championship favorite entering next weekend’s Las Vegas series finale.

Jeremy Martin | 2nd Place

Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin had his best showing of the season in New Jersey. The teenager ran at the front of the pack throughout the main event, but he was unable to make a serious bid for the lead position. Martin closed on Bogle at times when lappers came into play, but at the checkered flag, he was a distant second. Still, a huge improvement from his early series DNFs.

Vince Friese | 3rd Place

Vince Friese rode strong throughout the evening’s program in New Jersey and earned his first-ever 250-class podium. Friese enjoyed the rutted conditions, and ran as high as second in the main event before setting into third behind Martin late in the second half of the race.

Matt Bisceglia | 4th Place

Matt Bisceglia enjoyed his best-ever finish with a fourth in New Jersey. The rookie rode great in the main event, taking control of the lead early on aboard his GEICO Honda. After being passed for the lead by Bogle, Bisceglia looked to have a solid second in the bag, until a stall in a tricky corner dropped him off the leaders’ pace. Once he got his bike started up, he charged back through the field with relative ease, and worked to fourth at the checkers.

Matt Lemoine | 5th Place

Fifth at the finish was Matt Lemoine. The likable Texan was mired at the start of the 15-lap main, but he methodically worked towards the front en route to another solid top-five finish.
