How To | Change Motorcycle Throttle Tube

Eric Gass, mechanic for Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda, shows us the correct way to change a motorcycle throttle tube in this “How To” video. Hidden by the grip, it’s easy to overlook an issue with this vital component but this could lead to a massive mistake. If you have experienced a crash or the action on the throttle feels restricted, check to see if the OEM plastic tube has signs of damage. We recommend replacing the stock unit with a beefier aluminum part offered by many aftermarket brands.

FOR THIS JOB, YOU WILL NEED:

REPLACEMENT THROTTLE TUBE (ALUMINUM RECOMMENDED)
CONTACT CLEANER
AEROSOL  LUBRICANT
8MM T-HANDLE
