Coming into X Games 14, Nate Adams and Jeremy Stenberg were the two favorites to battle it out for a gold medal. Unfortunately, both riders suffered injuries coming into the event that left them less than 100%. Stenberg was forced to drop out after mechanical issues plagued him in the closing stages of his run while Adams was unable to deliver the goods and was eliminated after his first run. With the departure of Twitch and Adams, it was clear Mike Mason, Mat Rebeaud, and Jeremy Lusk were all in contention for a gold medal. Stenberg and Adams favourites??? That was a long time ago dude. Those guys are with the pack(awesome), not beyond. Not here in the states, not anywhere else
