Get Serious. He has always been 3rd best. He couldn’t beat RC or James, now he’ll be 3rd again once Villopoto gets there.Lets face it…Chad has won 2 sx titles. Oddly enough,the two he has won, Stewart nor Carmichael were apart of. O and by the way, there are five guys by the names of Davi Millsaps,Andrew Short, Mike Alessi, Broc Hepler and Josh Grant who are all in the SX class too. Chad will get top 5 but not top 2, unless James or Ryan gets hurt.

Reed is looking really good.His speed in the whoops is the fastest ive seen in any of the test track videos from this and other sites.
lilt949 the 5 guys you mentioned have never came close to Reed in the points.Two of them he hasn’t even raced yet!

lilt949, I couldn’t agree with you more. Reed is an awesome rider, I am not taking anything away from him, but Stewart and Villapoto are on another level. Also, the only reason Reed was so close in the points race is because RC and JS were battling for lead and would knock each other out of the races, Reed was there to clean up the mess.

Reeds looking great, fast and smooth. Hopefully he gives Stewart a run…(for the sake of racing, and I’m a Reed fan) at worst he should finish 2nd this season.

I hate the guy but he has a sick style.. but i dont think he will beat james this year.. him and ryan dungey will have good battles though no doubt about that. And u gotta realize that hes on a track he rides every day day in day out thats why hes so fast on it look at anyones practice videos they are always gonna look faster

PS: Chad is gonna give James a run for his money, but will most likely not be threatened by anybody else, unless Short or Millsaps do their homework and go to A1 swinging guns. Because Ryan V, is just now moving up to the big class and will have a hard time this first year, will most likely not win any championships but will be a title contender, and, we all know that Ryan shines in the outdoors, i mean, hes good at supercross, but not near as good as Chad who has dedicated his life to that one type of motocross, so its logical that Chad will be better, and although i kinda find Chad kinda gay, i cant ignore the talent he has on a motorcycle.
In fact, i want Stewart to lose, so that his Supercross-only title bites him in the butt.

FYI - Ryan V, in an interview, added Chad as a contender when the interviwer only mentioned Stewert - he actually mentioned Chad twice - I have to give V a lot of credit for pointing it out, I agree with with him. He also said that since this will be his first year on the 450’s that he may not do as well as everyone’s predicting. That waits to be seen though I think. Personally I’d love to see Chad take back-to-backs - I don’t get why so many don’t want to give the guy credit for his accomplishments. There are a lot of riders I love to watch ride, currently Chad tops the list. All-in-all it’ll be an awesome season for all of us fans.

Lilt949 Chad Reed hasn’t always been “3rd best”…has was THE BEST in 04, THE BEST in 08 and THE BEST in any race he won AGAINST RC and BUBBA!!!! The only thing he is “3rd best” in, is ALL TIME supercross wins. The ability of a champion takes into consideration their ability to stay healthy AND their ability to capitalise on other riders errors/injuries. Each of which Reed has done very well throughout his Career. (Plus RC isn’t even there anymore yet people still seem to bring him up???)
PS I dont think any of the 5 riders you listed pose a real threat to Chad accross the span of a whole season….

Motox828 can you name the races that Bubba and RC knocked each other out of? I can’t recall any????
That’s why it’s called a championship buddy…”cleaning up the mess” as you so succinctly put it, is one of the best way to win a championship - to capitalise on your competitors errors.
Also, I agree with you, RV has always been on another level, yet he is unproven on a 450 as of yet…even the best (RC) took a good 3 seasons to make an impact in the big bike class (in supercross)…

wow chad reed is faster than bubba he just has to stay foucused and smart.
Reed has always had a advanatage on bubba and if u let Reed loose on the Suzuki bubba has no chance
