Pro Circuit’s Christophe Pourcel Injured Today
Less than a week after Austin Stroupe violently wrecked while testing, another Pro Circuit rider has taken a nasty dirt sample. Frenchman Christophe Pourcel has returned to the Pro Circuit camp this year to try and re-establish himself as he did at the Phoenix Supercross in ‘07. But after today, he may have a larger climb ahead of him.
Reports from the Kawi test track in Corona, CA say that Pourcel wrecked in near the exact same spot on the track that Stroupe did last week. As of now, it would seem to be a shoulder or collarbone-related injury, but we will update you as we learn more.

wow.could it be that pro circuit is losing their stranglehold on the 250f class.looks like the year of dungey.
Did austin stroupe get hurt? i never heard anything about this…
is pourcel out then? hopefully well by the east coast.
this dude can not stay healthy to save his life..i have a feeling he would have killed it this year too.
oh yea for sho this is tha Dungey year. Dungey can beat RV straight up on Supercros track. So he is the man to beat.As for the other coast dont be surprised if one of the rookies take over. Trey Canard did this yr.
Looks like mitch payton should give darcy lange a call to fill in again, if he can still ride like 07, it wouldnt hurt
I think Nico Izzy looks amazing… I saw him ride last week.. looked faster than Ryan V on his 450
i would love to see darcy ride again as im a close friend of his. but hes been fighting with cancer, and hes just about settled of retirment. hes been off the bike since 07
Dungey would smoke all of the Pro Circuit Kawasaki guys!!
And i hope J-Law do the same
Olli#21
guess i’ll have to call Mich for a spot at last ,lol
je souhaite un bon retablissement a chris pourcel de mon petit coin de la france
That should make it more interesting. Yes Dungey is fast but who’s to say he can keep it on two wheels and that he wont buckle again. Also keep in mind there are a lot of fast guys coming up this year from their prosperous amatuer careers.
Oh yeah I forgot. Its a good thing for Pourcel if he doesnt ride SX or even MX this year for all I care. My understanding from a few mouths is that guys has a nice target on his back for his antics at the MX Des Nations. Ha ha
i think your talking about sebastien pourcel ! if you paid a lil more attention you will see that this is an article about christophe pourcel. Oh and what antics are you talking about ?…….. i’m thinking that your talking about james stewart being a little girl because he crashed and couldnt get his bike started so when he crosses the line the first excuse you hear is about another rider riding aggressive for his country and trying to beat him at a motocross race hahah
red rocket you’re a moron , wrong person & if he has a target for being fast - thats the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard . I’m glad to see both of the Pourcel’s riding so good ! Hope Christophe is back in the game soon .
RedRocket704, Sebastien Pourcel is Christophe’s brother.. Why would he be targetted for his brother’s actions? He gave ‘Boo-bah’ a little shove and suddenly its USA v the Pourcels; I’m sorry but your comment is so typical of an American.
Anyway, it’s not even worth discussing because Tommy Searle will make everyone look silly. Trust me.
That’s why you stay anonymous. And hell yeah I’m an American. What’s your point barnyard. Oh yeah if I was a big Stewart fan that could be my reasoning but what about R.V. I do hope though that maybe some Euro’s can come over here and step it up. It has been a while. Quite a while. Thank heavens for the Aussies sending some talent this way. Have a nice day bud.
thats why i stay anonymous ?…….hahah well hey if u want my details u can have em bro lol. i think this year all the racers that have previously been racing gp’s will be up there the whole year ( townley, pourcel, searle ). My money is on ben townley for the outdoors title and pourcel for the lites outdoors. Oh and as for it being a while since a euro stepped it up over there…..well its been a while since an american stepped it up over here, but hey i guess theres not enough money for them over here these days thats why
Hey Brad are you American? You will be lucky to see Searle win a race all year, and I will be quite surprised if he finishes top three in the points. The Americans will always be the best, start getting used to it. This year is all about Villo vs. Stewart on the big 450, forget the euro’s.
Dear ‘D.H-316′, Searle is racing 250’s so yeah I will be quite surprised also if he finishes top three in the 450 points.
You seem to be missing my point. I don’t care that you THINK the Americans are faster, I was simply in disbelief that Christophe would have a ‘target on his back’.
‘You will be lucky to see Searle win a race all year’ We’ll see, won’t we
im guessing your talking about stupid-cross ? so yeh i would also be surprised if we ee searle win a stupid-cross race because he’s not even riding the series hahah. BUT ! if you are talking about the outdoors then im guessing your not gonna see a stewart vs villo year because:
1, stewart isnt racing outdoors
2, villopoto is gonna bust his all over the place
3, townley is gonna clean that place up
Chris pourcel is a fucking good rider !! I really would like see him ride in AMA sx, I hope he will…
bon rétablissement
Im not sure if Darcy is feeling better or cured from the cancer or whatever it was he had. I did hear that he was doing some BC provincial races. Darcy would light it up too…. CALL HIM UP!
It sounds like there is some anamosity towards American riders. Why? Because we are the best and have taken the sport to a whole new level. I’m not sure if any of you squids running your mouth have ever ridden a GP track over in Europe. Technical is a word not used in their vocabulary. Anyone can twist a throttle up a hil or in a straight. If you think so highly of your euro riders why dont you go fluff em up a bit. And Townley…? Ha ha ha It’s obvious D H 316 has the right additude. But hey you are a know it all Brad and you to Mr ?. Good luck tou your boys. Tonwley…? wow wow wow
Townley to win 450s out doors and Metcalfe to win the 250.
‘Anyone can twist a throttle up a hill or in a straight’ That may be so, but I doubt they will be twisting it as hard as Tommy Searle.
You know what? I can twist a throttle up a hill or straight, maybe I should turn Pro?
There can’t be much else to racing can there? Braking, corners, ruts, jumps, bumps, whoops aren’t really that important are they?
Townley to win 450’s
Searle to win 250’s
btw im the mr ?……so yes i have rode some gp tracks actually because my dad is very good friends with the founder of ohlins and wp suspension so we go over and ride lierop and lommel whenever we can ( which are pretty much on a whole different level to anything you americans have ). Look at the write up lommel got in a transworldmx issue and see. Oh and im not a know it all i just think its funny how arrogant you americans are because everybody in the world of motocross knows you have the fastest riders but its not always about being the fastest. Im saying townley because looking at his previous results on a 450 ( when injury free ) he has beaten some guy called stefan everts straight up quite a number of times aswell.
I get so sick of hearing “you arrogant Americans”. Funny you Euro’s don’t see how arrogant you sound to us. I guess there is nothing wrong with showing pride in your flag no matter where you raise it, but you guys make it the world against the USA. My brother-in-law is from Yorkshire and we kid with each other all the time, but if a line were drawn in the sand he would consider himself American (Cap “A” by the way). All I can say is as the sport becomes more mainstream here in America I think you will find other talented athletes putting down the traditional stick and ball sports and trying there hand at motocross. With Loretta Lynns, Ponca, Mini o’s, etc. busting at the seams every year the writting is on the wall that America will continue to be a force to be reckoned with.
Yeah the write up it got even stated by the test riders said it was not technical and the biggest jump was some 80 or 90 foot step up bro. It was slick in a few spots and rutted in some areas. Please buddy take your little funky but to Millville or even Glen Helen and you’ll see a real outdoor track. Yes, manmade jumps as well as natural terrain. Big whoop e he beat everts. It wasn’t in America either you donkey. And if anyone’s got it, it is Mr. Cooper in my opinion. But we all have one of those along with something else to and thats what all you Red White and Blue bashers talk out of. The Aussies will hand it to any one of the euro riders so maybe you barnyards should look elsewhere. As for me I was born in the States and will defend what is right. Townley, Metcalfe……… Ha ha ha. I’m guessing you also have one of those physcic hotlines you run also right? SQUIDVICIOUS
by the looks of it you obviously havent read the write up on it because your mentioning test riders ? and a 90ft step up ?….. ok well what was said in this write up on the belgian gp was that there is nothing even close to lommel in america. Oh ive rode at glen helen before buddy and yeh its an amazing track but theres a sand quarry just up the road from me that has deeper sand than that place. Im actually laughing at how you think the australians will hand it to any euro hahahah the top australian riders were at the MXdN at donington and they looked pretty average if u ask me. redrocket you need to read some motocross magazines because then u might understand the sport a bit better instead of just looking at the pretty pictures
Oh yeah and jumps and whoops and ruts are not to big of a factor unless your some goon or squid so I know where you stand Brad.Last time I checked most factories preach and praise corner speed but you wouldn’t know nothing about that being you probably have issues rolling a double. LOL
‘Oh yeah and jumps and whoops and ruts are not to big of a factor unless your some goon or squid so I know where you stand Brad.’
You certainly can spell, but I can see that reading comprehension isn’t your strength.
You know that i’m right, and as you have no good comeback, you resort to implying that I am a ‘goon or squid’ or would ‘have issues rolling a double’ LOL ROFL LMAO HAHA. Not.
What I said in my comment was totally unrelated to my own abilities. It would be irrelevant to say that i’m 100% sure that I would kick your Redneck RedRocket ass on the track.
‘Last time I checked most factories preach and praise corner speed’
When was the last time you checked with a factory team, RedRocket704? No, seriously, I would like to know what Factory Honda have to say about how unimportant jumps, whoops and RUTS are?
As long as RV & RD stay healthy; Ryan Villopoto will win the 450 National Championship and Ryan Dungey will win the 250 National Championship. Arguing is futile!!!!!
i think supercross is going to have a big say in the outdoors but if these two riders can get through supercross injury free then for sure there probably going to be favourites
Wow arguing over which country is more dominant in MX when really there shouldn’t be one. And as far as corner speed and inside go read some more magazines to get your info. I’m glad you know my riding skills and that I’m a redneck. Nice opinion. If your so big and mighty ask around about some guy with 18 acres up in the high desert with A1 sitting in the backyard. and sand quarry… huh. I’m up in the Mojave bud with more sand than you can eat. (which is a lot im sure)
Does anybody know a RedRetard in Mojave Bud who has 18 acres of sand in his backyard? I’ve been told to ask around..
Do you really think I would travel X thousand miles just to hand your ass to you round some lame ass sand pit?
I didn’t say corners weren’t important. It was just surprising to hear you say that any ‘goon’ or ’squid’ could ride whoops or ruts as fast as Villopoto.
Maybe if you spent more time at school you would probably understand that eating sand is bad for you. Very bad. Maybe if you stopped eating it you would have more sense and realise that:
1. It’s a shame Pourcel got hurt, and his brothers ‘antics’ don’t warrant a target on Christophe’s back
2. I don’t care who’s faster, the Americans or the Euros, but Tommy Searle will do well
3. Your opinions are largely incorrect and flawed
4. Reading magazines does not give you a worthy opinion.. You are presumabably the perfect example for this
Brad X
If that makes you feel better about yourself tubby. As for my input being strictly from magazines dig a little deeper bud. I’m sure you would not know but most of the stuff to hit the magazines is old news (month or two) but to american bashers like you I’m sure its the only way to keep informed so goon on brotha. Ride with Jesus cuz you need it.
i think i’m done writing on here because i’m getting tired of stupid ass americans thinking they know everything. Brad if i were you i’d jump ship too mate because it’s not worth our time.
