We got the chance to spend some time with Chad Reed yesterday at his home down in Florida, and to say his set up is nice would be an understatement. On his property there’s an outdoor track, two Supercross tracks, and a full on race shop. Take a look at what a day with Chad is like. Be sure to check back later for more from the defending champ’s pad.

ive been sayin that all yearrrr. if he can get out in front of stewart, he will win. reedy always turns faster laps than stewart but doesnt get the start

reed is a little girl if he could only ride outdoors then he would be good but he cant cause he sucks to bad
January 28th, 2009 at 10:26 am
Chad would finish second to James in the Nationals. He is blazing fast outdoors, just not Superhuman like RC & JBS.

Chad does his BEST riding when he goes balls out at it with Stewart. Usually they wreck together, but Reed always gets up and Bubba doesn’t, so I would just have at it if I were Reed. What do you have to lose??? Oh, the championship…
January 28th, 2009 at 11:28 am
I would love to seee you ride half as good as him.
January 28th, 2009 at 11:46 am
stewart is getting faster every weekend. houston reed did not have a chance. stewart is back!
January 28th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
if i could make millions for half the work i would only ride supercross too, he’s smart its called career longivity.
January 28th, 2009 at 12:06 pm
Reed found some wild amounts of speed, If Obubba and Reed both feel good about the track and both get good starts, Its anyones race!
January 28th, 2009 at 12:35 pm
yesss, lets see it!! you heard it lutes, go do work! goo go go!
January 28th, 2009 at 1:17 pm

Jèspère pour lui le titre face a J.S
January 28th, 2009 at 2:19 pm
Reed has sweeetest style ever!! But he will never be as fast as bubba!!
January 28th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
dude what r u talking about he was for the first two races but all that stewart needt it was to get used to the new bike n its history
January 28th, 2009 at 4:03 pm
stewart isnt riding outdoors anymore either
January 28th, 2009 at 4:08 pm
reed is one of the fastest if not the fastest right now hes been having some bad luck with the starts but hes def getting a win soon…stewart cant ride that yamaha like he could ride the kawasaki…no wonder reed never won a championship while carmichael and stewart were there cuz he had one of the crappiest bikes just like when he fell and almost lost the championship last year…it was the bikes fault
January 28th, 2009 at 4:09 pm
they both suck Carmichael is the best hands down no one will ever be as good as him
January 28th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
reed got a bad start….at the level he and james are on, they’ve gotta be close at the start to battle. neither one is significantly faster than the other, so with a bad start it’ll be very hard to catch the other guy.
January 28th, 2009 at 5:45 pm
well i’m not cheering for stewart but he is crazy fast and he just puts it in cruise control dude he can go alot faster i just hope reed can out run him
January 28th, 2009 at 6:45 pm
Pretty funny buddy, another bench racing expert. So when stewart went eight tenths of a second faster than reed on the Suzuki there must have been blue plastic on a suzuki or honda or whatever brand you have exclusively and only ridden. Just keep telling yourself that…remember that’s the only bike that has won in the 450 class this year. Milsaps keeps having crappy finishs, so that speaks volumes for the new honda right? (note: a old saying that go’s something like ‘90% rider 10% bike’) All bikes from the big 5 need the best rider, not better handling or horsepower.
January 28th, 2009 at 6:46 pm
reed is definately alot fast ‘NOW’ then he used to be, he’s charging through every obsticle on the courses real smooth and consistent every lap. yeah ol hes getting crap starts but then it still must be hard racing into the first turn with a BIG RED TARGET(number) on ya of course people would wanna box him in n take him down its like waving a red cape infront of a bull!
January 28th, 2009 at 8:39 pm
I always was for James and still am but i would love to see a good battle for the championship in that class and i do think read has the speed. There will probally be some more situations happen like when it was James and Ricky and James would ride a little crazy and crash. Either way its good to see Reed running the pace, good luck to both of them.
January 28th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
look at the overall laptimes stewart always has him beat by over half a second, reed just catches up in the end when stewart has a huge lead and takes a safe pace

It’s been pretty cool watching the differences this year with the two. (James & Reedy) Most of the coments have some truth to them. Bubba abviously isnt as comfortable or fast on his Yama as he was on his Kawi. Although he’s getting faster every week. There is no dought that Reedy has stepped it up this year, he’z crazy fast and is bringing all his “A” game to the races. I look forward to them both gettin good starts and battling it out without either one waddin up. The season is young and they continue ta get better. Villipoto is finding his comfort and how about J,Grant? We gots some awsome racing ahead!

Chads changed his outlook with a new bike that soots his style way better than the yamaha He was always looking to make the bike right now he has it and Stewarts finding out what CR was dealing with!!Reed always gets better mid way thru Swaps taking me 2 sizzler when cr-22 takes the title HaHaa
January 28th, 2009 at 11:33 pm
its all about da GOAT
January 29th, 2009 at 12:24 am
It will be so funny to see when bubba and Reed goes 1 and 2 in the start. And if Bubba wins (probably will) it will be interesting to read the comments again.
January 29th, 2009 at 1:03 am
Dude, how much do you think guys like Stewart and Reed spend on just building and maintaining their tracks alone?!
January 29th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
What do you mean by that?
January 29th, 2009 at 8:14 pm
There can only be one “GOAT”. Bubba never had anything for Carmichael without having to ride way over his head.
