Jacksonville Supercross Second Practice

With first practice jitters out of the way, riders headed out for the second practice of the day to lay down their fast laps. In the Lites class, the top two remained the same, with Christophe Pourcel and Austin Stroupe being making up the top two. However, in the third spot was Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM rider Wil Hahn, who has consistently had fast times all year, but bad luck and crashes have kept those times from helping him come race time. Let’s see if he can turn it around tonight. It is worth noting that Tyler Wharton showed up for the second practice aboard none other than Jason Lawrence’s YZ250f race bike. After his bike blew up in the first practice, J-Law offered up his West Coast Lites bike so Tyler could continue his evening.

In Supercross practice, James Stewart once again topped the lap charts but Chad Reed was not far behind.  They had a few words during practice and were seen purposely bumping elbows. It seems the pressure of the championship is beginning to build.  Rounding out the top five times were Josh Hill, Jason Lawrence, and Andrew Short. Be sure to check back in a few hours for this evening’s Race Report.

    disregard my last!

I cannot believe thus far into the season team tactics havn’t came into play. Mike Alessi Gets the effin holeshot (or starts ahead of stewart 90% of the time). Alessi is a dirty rider anyway, and it seems he’d be the perfect candidate to love the “Hype” of taking out james stewart. I cant believe suzuki hasn’t givin him the green light to put james’s d!ck in the dirt. One time and the championship is Reeds automatic. I’ve been waiting. Watch…. It will happen soon

  • Jarrett Dean Says:

Let’s hope they take each other out and Grant or Shorty get the win. How is the track tonight? Boring and fast again so Stewart can check out? UGH - I hope not!

Lets talk about a touchy subject with me and motocross. Money, Ya know, Dinero. What makes the world go Round. I’ve been Sick and tired of the old school guys bitching about how much the young “rockstars” of the sport are gettting . And about how they’re getting so much money its causing them to mess up in life, and not be dedicated to the sports grass roots. I fully disagree with that. Denny Stevenson was the epitome of a young motocross rockstar, easily comparable to an austin stroupe, nico izzi, or a jason lawrence. I totally agree that my childhood heroes, guys like denny stevenson, phil lawrence, and jeff emig never made close to the money they diserved. With tiger woods chasing golf balls around for multi million dollar contracts, I’d like to stop hearing how a pro motocross racer is overpaid when he’s not even making a half million even with a 250 championship. Let the motocrossers be rock stars. They are rock stars. they’re effin atheletes to the fullest. the only sport gnarlier is bull riding. I’ve broken 24 bones at 25 years old and just had my 9th surgery(rotator cuff, second time) . and i never even qualified for an ama race. Golf stars are rated by how much money they make on the year. If they actually aired on television how much money each rider made on the year. It would have peoples heads spinning in dissapointment. these riders are the best atheletes out there. they diserve the hottest girls. they diserve to be treated like stars. thats My opinion and i’m stickin too it. Please comment. or let me get your opinions, this has been getting too me for quite a while…

James is goona blow chad away

  • TheCHAD Says:

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit….I seriously hadn’t even thought of the whole “team tactics scenario!” Mike Alessi would be a good candidate, and I guess Stewart would have all of team Yamaha to do his dirty work too. BUT, I honestly think that Reed and Bubba, being the champions that they are, want to do this thing on their own and DESERVE the championship. The internet simply couldn’t handle more talk about championships with “asterisks”
    e.g. Stewart wins title ***

*** - team Yamaha put a large stick in Chad Reeds tyre on the starting line at Vegas!
    hahaha

  • ridin dirtyy Says:

why do you think chad through in head games? because once again stewart, had a faster practice time then him? tough pills to swallow for reedy.

  • Slot001 Says:

    Thats a 10-4 good buddy

  • Slot001 Says:

    First, JS7
    Second, JL388
    Third, CR1

  • notorious Says:

    chad wont win this championship

  • noone cares Says:

i wish we could disregard every “first” post

  • Anonymous Says:

That was very nice of J Law to offer up his YZ250F to Tyler. Is J Law starting to smarten up now seeing that no teams want him, he now has to prove he’s changing?

  • Anonymous Says:

i was thinkin the same thing.
i dont know to many people who would loan me a bike if mine blew up.

  • ryan Says:

    fail.

  • ryan Says:

    couldn’t agree more.

  • ryan Says:

i would hope reed, alessi, and all of team suzuki would not stoop to that level.

  • Beasley511 Says:

Ever since J Law has decided to ride in the SX class he’s seemed to mature a little more. I don’t know what it is…maybe it is because he sees no teams wanting him???

  • josh grant Says:

i like jlaw hes a good guy hes out there to win not be a poo c who the hell cares if hes a pot head doesnt stop lamar odom putting it down for the lakes either.
    so eff all yall

  • pinned927 Says:

J-law is gonna be j-law no matter what. people need to get it through their heads … J’law is never gonna be an AMA posterboy just like michael phelps will never be on a box of wheedies again. let results talk b!tches. so far he’s had just as good of results as villopoto since switching to big bikes

  • Homeskillet Says:

    First is the new last

  • pinned927 Says:

But think about that bonus check… nobody’s ever talked about it but you know ones gotta be lurking right around the corner. plus Alessi seems to like drama for some reason. we all know that. I’d personally rather just see reed wick it up a lil but that damn #800

  • Anonymous Says:

    hell no he
    JS7 is the next #1

  • DogballsDave Says:

whats the deal about “first” post???

  • Dirtydane Says:

Seriously i think all riders are afraid to take stewart out, they know what he can do to them.

  • Hoobastench Says:

Why is it boring watching the best dirtbike rider on the planet show his talent? I hope Reed takes the holeshot and Bubba runs him down and passes him. Reed cant do that to Bubba unless Bubba takes himself out. Which does happen, but Bubba can just pass Reed clean and walk away.

  • Anonymous Says:

    Probably because you suck

  • Billy Bill Billie aka Buffalo Bull alias Billy the Big Says:

if you have nothing but stupid to writ, what the pic number of the Reed/Stewart altercation?

  • Anonymous Says:

Believe me…The way J-LAW has been riding the 450. He will have a factory/team deal for next season.

  • Ryan28 Says:

haha all of you chad reed fans are pussies, just like him… he ain’t going to win the championship. so if your expecting that, you might as well stop watching the rest of the series, and save yourselves some disappointment

  • GB147 Says:

    Ryan28, you’re a bitc*.

  • Anonymous Says:

did you not see stewart fall and come back to pass reed a few weeks ago? granted he fell again and lost the race but if he gets taken down once there is no guarantee that he will not win.

  • bilong Says:

stuart is a goon that is just fast because he isn’t scared of falling. he should stick with low rider cars with hydralics and bling. reed is legit

  • bilong Says:

stuart is going to fall because thats all he does. he will lose!

  • mx ninja Says:

how can u make fun of some one if u cant even spell their last name right (i mean its always on the back of his jersey and everytime he wins the bottom of the tv spells it for u). reed is equal to bubbas s**t when it comes time for race weekend. so the only goon i see is u “bilong”, dipsh*t

  • Anonymous Says:

    do what
you dont think stewart would fight right
    hes never done that before
plus if reed or alessi took him out they would be sure to make sure he wouldnt come back for a win

  • Anonymous Says:

reed never has problems with people getting in his head
he wont crack under any presure

  • Anonymous Says:

    what the F*ck
reed only needs to win one more race
stewart is going to crack like he did when carmichael was around
