With the final round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series tomorrow, top riders got together for a little Q&A with the press today. All told Chad Reed, Ryan Dungey, Andrew Short, and Christophe Pourcel participated in the press conference. As for Supercross class points leader San Manuel Band of Mission Indians/Yamaha’s James Stewart, he decided to sit it out for untold reasons. Team orders should be: If you don’t hit Stewart’s bike in the heat, you aim for it on the start. If you don’t get it on the start, then hit it when he laps you. Notice I don’t want Stewart to get hurt necessarily and the guy is super talented, but that garbage last week could have been an awesome finish and we could have gone into Vegas tied. Now it is just lame…Oh, and if he wants to be an ambassador for Supercross, he should have shown for the conference. As a fan I feel slighted and disrespected and as the media I would be pi$$ed!

Hello are you crazy! I mean Reed is the punk. I use to be a fan and then went with a friend who rode at a Phoenix Supercross a few years back and in the pits (with no other but the riders there) Reed became a jerk to all the riders. He snubbed the other riders as not worthy of his presence. I mean this guy is the bad one and he is a very dirty rider. Did you see that pass on Stewart last week he made. He purposely tried to take Stewart out and then cried when someone else did the same. I mean come on!!!
How could you even be a fan of this guy. Unless all your looking at is looks?? He is not a good role model, he is a poor sport and truly has no real championship that he won staight out. In order for him to have his “chumpianships” he had to have his competition DNF or fall down. I mean what kind of Championship is that??

The difference is that one can truly beat the other at a straight up race while the other “Reed” cannot win straight out. He has need assistance (DNF’s or Falls) for all his championships and well I believe overall wins. That’s why he is getting so pissy. He knows he has yet to prove to himself that he can beat Stewart straight out. He never got to prove that with Carmichael….

Yea, when he makes a block pass he leave room and when he goes to pass he doesnt take the other rider out. I think what he meant to say was aggresive, stewart lets it all hang out where as reed is more precise and technical with his decisions.

actually kyle hitting reed had nothing to do with stewart taking the lead on reed. he already had the lead. and all year long stewart made clean passes on reed. last week in salt lake and at vegas reed tried to take out stewart. reed tried to take out stewart before kyle even hit reed. so you need to get your freaking facts right before you go opening your mouth. and yeah did you notice that wen reed hit stewart at vegas stewart just let him go cuz he knew he already had the title in the bag either way. ya thats cuz reed is a little B%&$h. and who grabbed whos neck? oh ya that was reed!

Throughout this video. I did not hear Reed “wine” a single word. He has taken responsibility for all of his actions and everything that has happened to him. He did not even refer to Stewart as a dirty rider. He simply let everyone in the conference form their own opinion. If the Yamaha guys did not do anything wrong then why didn’t Stewart show up for the press conference? Because he would have been put on the spot and his manager can’t be whispering in his ear the whole time. Reed speaks for himself and more importantly, he rides for himself. James may be faster, he presumably would have won SLC regardless, but the fact of the matter is, he did not win fairly. Reed was not robbed of the win, or the championship, but simply of the opportunity to pass Stewart back in what could have possibly been the best race of the year.
