Lites Heat One West Coast
Just like the practice order earlier in the day, the West Coast riders took to the groomed layout first. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Ryan Morais flew into the stadium with the holeshot and looked like the man to beat, but his lead was short lived once he clipped a Tuff Block just before the finish line double. Rockstar/Makita Suzuki and West Coast champion took full advantage of Morais’ misfortune to take the lead, with Geico Powersports/Factory Connection Honda’s Trey Canard hot on his heels. A battle would never form between the two, but they along with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki and West Coast runner up Jake Weimer would go on to gap Muscle Milk/KTM pilot Justin Brayton by over 20 seconds. Behind them, the show was the charge established by Morais to gain a spot in the last main of the season. Morais was a green blur has he tore from last place to fifth, finding the limit on the throttle and launched the fly-away jump past the competition and charged the whoops like a mad man. He would come close to snagging forth away from Brayton, but would run out of time at the flag.

Lites Heat Two East Coast
Determined to show that he had the speed to beat his teammate and East Coast champ Christophe Pourcel, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki runner up Austin Stroupe came out with the holeshot and the early lead. His teammate Pourcel was behind him trading positions with Geico Powersports/ Factory Connection Honda rookie Blake Wharton. The riders would battle lap after lap, showing the sheer skill both possess, as Pourcel switched up lines in the middle of a run across the whoops and Wharton held off the advances and caused Pourcel to blow an opportunity at the position. That failed chance let Star Racing/Division Seven Yamaha’s Matt Lemoine get by and added one more rider for Pourcel to challenge, but the Frenchmen skipped over the whoops right past the teenager and both made moves on Wharton to knock the curly headed Texan to forth. Stroupe held a lead that couldn’t be closed in the small time slot, and got the win over his well known East Coast competitors.

Lites LCQ
Geico Powersports/Factory Honda called Daniel Blair to fill the open spot left by the injured Brett Metcalfe, and the former privateer led the LCQ from the gate drop to the final flag to lock himself into the Shootout. His lead was dwindling when Troy Lee/Red Bull/ Honda’s Chris Blose hit the obstacles with good form, but Blose cased a double-double and settled safely for second place. Division Seven/Star Racing Yamaha teammates Darryn Durham and Michael Hall battled for third and the Gas Card, but the two didn’t expect Kyle Cunningham and his Canidae/Motosport Kawasaki to breeze by and steal the consolation money away the way he did.

Say good bye to Stewart and Reed and bring on the outdoors!

  • terry E Says:

Reed showed that he has no class. Ashamed to say that I was a Reed fan for all these years. Sorry Reed but there is a different between a hard pass fighting for position and a dessperation take move. It’s sad to see him go to that level. He rode smart all year, and then in the last few rounds became his usual head case.

I don’t know if that was his plan from the start, but if his intention wasn’t to at least to try and go out with a win and seeing how tight stewart was riding I think he would have been far better off staying behind JS and trying to pressure him into bigger mistakes than he was already making. Especially if he wanted the title. That stupid takeout attempted only seemed to make James regain his composure and from that point Reed had no hope and he knew it. The best man won the title. Reed could have shown class and gone out with style because he rode great all year. But in the end now he looks like a hypocritical, whinning dirty loser.

Great ride for Ryan. Congrats James. Hoping Suzuki will drop Reed for being every bit the embarasment to that team that people say KC was to the San Manual team at SLC

  • jaz Says:

stop hating on reed, if you think its dirty riding you are an imbecile..

  • jaz Says:

your a scumbag mate get a life.

  • davemx90 Says:

even with all the crap reed pulled the whole season stewart still came out on top and showed that he is number 1 and reed will always only be a second rate second place

  • Anonymous Says:

if i was reedy, i would have taken james out.

did you guys hear it when james was screaming? it sounded like LB was having his way with him

  • Anonymous Says:

I was hoping JS7 was gonna go end over end ther. Maybe someone will give him some tained chiken and watermelon next year.

  • J.B. Says:

What crap did reed pull? Taking out Windham at A1? Ending Byrne and Ferrys season at Daytona? Taking out Dungey at the US open? Oh yeah that was Stewart. Carmichael even said that “the pass” wasn’t that bad. So let it go. P.S. Reed is now on the list with R.V. of guys who have beat Stewart straight up.

  • RYAN Says:

keep talking crap about stewart you haters, he obivously laughs out all of you punks. We are all riders and racers, and above all of us, whether amateur or pro, he is the only one who gets to show that red #1 plate because he is BY FAR THE FASTEST MOST TALENTED PERSON CURRENTLY RIDING A DIRTBIKE. Second fastest EVER, just to Ricky Carmichael. He should be shi%ing on all of you right now, b/c all you haters are is turd anyways. Just like the way you ride. Stewarts laughing at all of you, and esspecially Pus$y a$$… CHAD who?!

  • RT Says:

……and James has the #1 plate now doesnt he???? Chew on that all year and stick your “straight up” crap up your butt. James Stewart 2009 Supercross Champion!!!!!

  • RT Says:

James Stewart, 2009 Supercross Champion!!!!! All that needs to be said to you.

  • so-mn Says:

EAT IT REED!!!! EAT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats JS7 your the man

  • so-mn Says:

if you were reedy you’d still be 2nd place!!!! hahahahha

  • Brad Says:

If I were in Reed’s position, I wouldn’t have hesitated to try and take Stewart out.

Is it just me or do most of the comments on TWMX seem to be from immature 11 year old kids? Like this guy:

RYAN “He should be shi%ing on all of you right now, b/c all you haters are is turd anyways. Just like the way you ride. Stewarts laughing at all of you, and esspecially Pus$y a$$… CHAD who?!”

  • Da Bear Says:

    Anonymous = loser

Its going to be a great outdoors btwn RV2 and Bubbs. I wonder if chad will have the Kahoneys to come and join them…

  • Anonymous Says:

  • reedfan Says:

JAMES STEWART!!!!! SUPERCROSS CHAMPION ,JAMES STEWART SUPERCROSS CHAMPION , JAMES STEWART SUPERCROSS CHAMPION , JAMES STEWART SUPERCROSS CHAMPION , JAMES STEWART SUPERCROSS CHAMPION!!!!!!!!

He took the number one plate away from Chad Reed and now owns both outdoor and supercross #1 , #1 plates!!!!! and guess what anon……have a great summer! LMAO!

  • reedfan Says:

If that’s what makes James ride like that , I would lioke a plate full. And besides I like chicken and watermelon and what do you like.

  • CrazyDave385 Says:

RV just needs to wear purple more often. that 2 wins in purple gear haha

  • reedfan Says:

    Anonymous= loser

He does,nt evan like chicken and watermelon , what a cry baby!!

SUPERCROSS CHAMPION JAMES STEWART!!! Takes the number one plate away from Chad Reed!!!!!!! In yo face anon……cry baby.

  • Steve Says:

Hella year for supercross, for James to come back like that and RV too. I think I forgot to breathe for the first 7 laps of the SX main until I realized my heart started pounding. Maybe it was Ashley with the 30sec board but I think it was the end to a great seasons rivalry. For anyone with any misconceptions even the GOAT will tell you that JS7 is the fastest man on a bike and a good racer.

  • rider315 Says:

Thanks to all the riders for a great season of racing! The Stewart/Reed battle sure made things exciting. Great to see Canard come back from his injury–would have been great to see him get the win last night. He was flyin’! Kinda looked like Dungey left a little on the table, the way he closed in on Pourcel the last lap. Like a sequel to a movie, Reed left the us wondering if he’s heading to the outdoors. Would be awesome to see him jump in. J-law, back in action too - should be sweet!

  • JPMODD Says:

(REEDFAN)- damn that wasnt cool!!Man you need yr ass kicked to make a comment like that! WOW you are a sad case and trans world mx should kick you off this site! The Email has been sent..

  • jake Says:

my respect to Bubba super fast rider , but iam a 100% reed fan and i think he is just a more inteligent rider that have prove he can step up hes game , but its a shame that both dont ride out doors , for me just for that Bubba will never be the same as Ricky ¡¡

  • J.B. Says:

Never said he wasn’t the champ. Is that all you have for a reply? I must have touched a nerve. If you are that sensitive, maybe you should stay off of here.

  • Anonymous Says:

You clearly are living in a deprived state you ignorant fool to have to resort to slander to make yourself feel better or justify reeds loss. Why can’t it just be about the sport and not about the color of a mans skin. With that said I don’t thinkyour very much of a man.

  • reedfan Says:

    Agreed.

  • Anonymous Says:

Real uncool and ignorant man. And I also would like some of that chicken and watermelon

  • jake Says:

dont be stupid , iam a Bubba fan also i just like better Chad , …..skin color , thats is so stupid , i think Bubba wil have a lot more of respect if he race in all the outdoors championships like Ricky does , he is the one that can be the record breaker he has so much talent i just feel he should race all like ricky does , like i told you iam a chad fa but i know he cant for example win the outdoors …….so dont be fool and conect your brain (skin color) ………fooooolllll

  • reedfan Says:

Hmmmmmm James Stewart is SUPERCROSS CHAMPION AND I do personally like what I said. Read correctly and you must of meant the tainted comment above me…..Email sent.

  • bonehead Says:

actually reed crashed into stewarts rear tire at A1..as usual the cheap takeout manuever..because I’m slower tactic.
Pushing stewart of the finish line jump in canada last season was the start of it.
He just can’t get over the time stewart played with him in the outdoors…slows down to let him catch up right behind him and then proceeds to put another 25 second gap on him before the race is over.
    2nd sucks…hahahahaha

  • Cowboy13 Says:

JS7 hell yeah. Gonna be a killer outdoor season

  • dub Says:

reed was pretty lame,,,so tired of his sob stories,, I am living in a foreign county, It is hard, waa waa,, you a f-ing supercross star, so tough chad,, go back home,

at least RV will race Stewart next year,, its on…
    congrats to booba!!!

did you see JS grab a tear off while he was pining it thru the sweeeper in his heat race sick!

  • dub Says:

whats with you reed fans, if bubba kicks his ass totally clean you find reasons to take it away,, and make excuses for reed,, you hold on to any little thing to wine about,,, then reed rides like an ass and trys to take out JS and you still talk crap on JS,, He3 is champ because he is the better rider, face it, who want s the 2nd place guy as a champ because he is consistently 2nd? champ is for winners

  • dub Says:

ps I would actually like reed alot more if his fans weren’t such fogots!! becuase he is a great rider,, bubba is just better

  • dgizzy Says:

That racist remark is absurd. Besides I also like watermelon and chicken so bring it on. Im sure if that was the case that watermelon and chicken would be sold out b4 race sessions.

  • sauce51 Says:

does anyone know why Hepler and Jesseman had DNS’s?

  • Anonymous Says:

Reed did nothing wrong in that race he need 2 spots ahead of stewart and the only way that would of happened is if stewart made a big mistake by himself or with the help of reed. Anyone of you would of done the same thing. This is called racing. There is no need for all the hate. They both did everything they could and Stewart came out on top. Congratulations Stewart. WIsh you would race outdoors

  • h0lesh0t Says:

I saw you on TV swap!! Who won the Supercross anyways?

  • Slot001 Says:

    You obviously dont think correctly

  • Slot001 Says:

lol nice to see you talking good about JS, reedfan. Read *and understand* his comment before you reply

  • Slot001 Says:

I hope Chad never races in our country again. Even though he still lost the championship in true chump fashion, The FIM should make a point by docking him points, or track position. J law got booted for a season, Chad gets nothing? I know its a case-by-case kind of punishment deal, but what the Fu*k!!

Wheres the two lists of riders that are, and are not allowed to make dangerous moves?

Way to ride smart James, you are the BEST! <<<

  • hon724 Says:

stewart is full of shit! he didnt let ryan get a lead on him, he couldnt hang. theres somethin wrong with stewart now he’s not the same,

i hope reed goes outdoors too. i think he’ll do awesome

  • DISTRICT 37 Says:

CANT WAIT TO SEE THE BOYS TEAR UP MY FAVORITE TRACK ON THE 23RD…TIME TO GO PLAY OUTSIDE :)

  • Stephen122193 Says:

I knew he would win…it was only a matter of time.

  • Anonymous Says:

Dock him points, ya that makes sense cause the seasons not over. O wait ya it is. Get over it that pass was just racing it wasn’t dirty anything there was nothing wrong with it. What the Fu*k is Kyle Chisolm in Salt lake what the Fu*k was that all about?

  • swapmoto Says:

Yes, and it is especially ignorant since Reed is half Aboriginal. Back in his 250f days, he told me, “My mom is just like Bubba.”

  • slc Says:

It just goes to show u how chad reed really is. He is the dirty rider no one else, he is a whinny bitch. Stewart is way more mature than reed

  • KTMboy07 Says:

Funny how those of you who can’t spell are the ones running to the defense of Chad Reed. You heard Larry Brooks 25pts down…
    CHAMPIONSHIP

  • scrub124 Says:

What Reed did was NOT LAME. You all tell him to stop crying, but what are you doing? Reed said that he’s was gunna race stewart the way stewart raced everyone since 2002, and that what he did. He played cat and mouse with him, and he just made a point. It wasnt at take out move, if reed wanted stewart on the ground, he would have put stewart on the ground. period. Obviously non of you whiners actually race, cause you dont know what your talking about. After this year, and seeing how reed and villopoto steped it up this year, stewart better enjoy this, cause its gunna be the last title he wins for a while.

  • Anonymous Says:

Reed made the comment that he might be racing in a couple weeks so maybe hes gonna do some outdoorage.

  • Anonymous Says:

Stop your damn b1tc#ing, that’s racing. You should be happy anyway Bubba won you Stewart fans all ways find something to complain about. If you think what he did to Stewart was dirty; what do you call Chisolm at Salt Lake? O ya that’s right it’s called DIRTY F@CKED UP BU!!SHIT. At least Reed races by himself and doesn’t have to have his teammate help him out.

  • Anonymous Says:

You reed haters are all the same and I bet that almost 1/2 of you have been reed fans and now he is not the best anymore. So you all trow him away like some pare of old shoes. And go cheering Stewart instead. JS the best?I don’t think so and I think that you only can say that reed is bad if you can beat him at the track and if you can’t then shut the f*ck up. Reed did what he could to win. And maybe he rode dirty but maybe not. And like bubba did nothing wrong in the past to Ricky for example.Besides if Ricky wouldn’t have stopped he would have kicked bubba’s *ss.

  • Jeff Says:

I like Jeff Emig and everything but his comitating isnt the greatest. they all aggrivate me the way they make stewart sound so amazing. Like in the heat race he made the comment watch stewart pull away in this rythme section from tedesco and villapoto. when they did the same exact thing stewart did every lap and he didnt really gain anything on them. everybodys to far up stewarts butt. its not even funny.

  • Anonymous Says:

Reed has to ride dirty. Its the only way he can win!!! He has never beat James straight up and Reed knows this, hint RIDING DIRTY!! Beating Stewart straight up means Stewart has to actually race and give it his all. He did not give it his all at Vegas.

  • Anonymous Says:

Hey Dumb F@ck the crash at A1 was all Stewarts fault he made a stupid mistake and paid for it.

  • Jeff Says:

I dont know why everyone is saying Reed was complaining and everything when it was actually stewart that did all the complaining, Reed didnt say anything. For someone that just won the championship all he did was cry about how dirty Reed was, Blaaaa what a d!7d0. Stewart didnt even show up to the pre race connfrences, I think hes the real chump here.

  • Anonymous Says:

You’re just being bitter. Can’t you at least find something reasonable to make fun of Bubba for. Don’t get me wrong though I am NOT by any means a Bubba fan.

  • J.B. Says:

Who cares? Why is this even being discussed? My nephews are black and just want to race, not discuss what color they are.

  • J.B. Says:

Agreed. He must have meant to make all those mistakes too.

  • Dave Chappelle Says:

“Who are these people that don’t like chicken and watermelon, MOTHER F#*KER there’s something wrong with you if you don’t like chicken and watermelon…there’s something wrong with you. People only see the divisions in our foods.”

JS = The fastest motocrosser of all time.

Reed= Has brought the sport to it’s current ridiculous speed by putting 6 straight on RC in 2003, forcing RC to up his game, subsequently forcing JS to up his game.

The Pass = None of us would have even given that pass a second thought had it been done in 1985. Those of you that watched the sport in the 1980’s know what I am talking about.

RV should be hard to beat in the outdoors.

  • Anonymous Says:

Nope TP is the most Talented Man on a dirt bike. Bubba is the fastest but TP can do a lot more stuff, really well on a dirt bike.

Enduro at Erzberg, Baja, Supercross, Motocross, FMX, Endurocross, just to name o few of the things TP has excelled at on a dirt bike.

So James is the Fastest but not the most talented. Sorry.

  • Anonymous Says:

FOR SURE! It seems that we Reed fans may be sore losers but Stewart fans are sore losers and winners.

  • winky Says:

sounds like a racist comment .are you making fun of my color?

  • bigjoker Says:

I don’t think Reed is a dirty racer, but I certainly think what he did was uncalled for. The way he went wide on Stewart and hit his bike. IMO, I think he was trying to break his(Stewart’s) shifter or cause some sort of a mechanical issue, cause thats the only chance that Reed had.

  • Toro Says:

1/2 way through the SC season I wrote RV will win 2 races this year. Go back and read the comments on race repoets you will see. RV will win outdoors. Congrats to Andrew Short excellent season and no credit for it. He is great, he rides consistant and clean, does not talk bad about anyone. RV and AS will do well in outdoors. Now we can see the men ride while the SC only boys sit and watch the men race.

  • terry e Says:

if I was beaten I would show sportsmanship and get beat. winning like that doesn’t take skill. anyone can take another rider out to get a win

  • kevin Says:

every one of your examples was just an example of JS possibly being reckless while actually racing for position. There was no intent to take anyone out.

What Reed did was not to race for position but to intentially try to put JS off the track. that is a very lame way to take a title and if it had worked I don’t see how that would be something to be proud of. I’d rather lose fairly than to resort to things like that to win

  • elforo Says:

THIS IS SUPERCROSSSS, NOT BALLET CLASSES.

    STOP CRYING…..

  • ryan Says:

yeah i’m kind of tired of people saying how big of a baby Reed is. I haven’t heard him complain much at all this season. he’s pretty much admitted that it’s all on him. every race. so many of you just look for the bad things about him and even make bad things up. to the moron towards the top, he never once complained about living in a foreign country. it’s like how during elections Democrats smear the hell out of Republicans but never have a solid argument. and vice versa. it’s stupid and I cringe when I see people telling Reed to leave the country and never come back. why? because he can’t beat Stewart? tell every other rider in the series to pack it up, then.

  • sd1904 Says:

RV is the man ,now thats the speed we are all use to,reed cant hang outdoors, plus im glad that hes not gonna race outdoors ,because im tired of his whinning

  • Anonymous Says:

reed didnt make a dirty move, it was an aggressive yet clean racing pass, the pass that wins races. stewat didnt keep his line and actually moved into reed, making it seem like reed just rammed him. then typical dramatic stewart, he went into the tuff blocks, feet off, to make it seem like reed shoved him off the track. stewart was the reason he went over the tuff blocks, if he didnt move into reed, he woulda gotten passed like real racers (reed) do it.

  • Anonymous Says:

no, stewart moved into reed. reed went to make an aggressive yet clean, race pass that gets wins. stewart saw it and merged into reed to make it look like reed made a dirty move. then, in typical dramamtic stewart fashion, he went off the tuff blocks with both feet off the pegs to just make it seem even worse. reed is a fast, aggressive, charging racer that gets it done. stewart just crys and makes reed look bad

  • ryan Says:

guess that’s why his name is bonehead. Stewart hit neutral. do you think Reed planned it so expertly that Stewart would fall on his head and Reed would be able to get up again? that was a missed shift. Stewart even said it.

  • Anonymous Says:

hahahahahah that was awesome! dont forget their grape drink!

  • Anonymous Says:

man am i tired of this BS, did anyone see RV2 STRAIT UP catch JS7 pass him and leave him? I did. and I know it scares JS7

    I dont think so

I’m glad someone finally gave Mr. Nice Guy Andrew Short a dose of his own medicine. I’m so tired of seeing him clean people out and then smiling and acting all nice like he is such a goody two shoes. How dat dirt taste Mr. Nice Guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now stop fronting.

  • jason Says:

wow..you didnt see what happend at all. Reed entered the corner on the inside and went wayy to the outside to block him, when stewert was letting him go by.. James won 11 races. How can you all say, he needed help to win races, when his teammate got involved in 1 incident. IF that happend to james, he would have caught Reed back up, and still passed him..Deep down, you all know who is the faster rider…I dont see what you can argue about here??? LOL. Get used it, he is the fastest man on track, PERIOD

  • jason Says:

    plain and simple..BETTER

  • jason Says:

U guys are sons of whores..ITs all good, hate on our color. Because you cant hate on his Riding skills. He came back from crashes to win 11 races and win the Championship.

White people always take it somewhere else because you know BLACK ppl are the best in sports…Now your mad, GOODBYE

  • jason Says:

yea. TP is so fast he he qualified for the main in the race in his hometown?!?! LOL, all he worries about is backflips now..TP need to give it up like Carmichael..

  • BIG MF Says:

IT WAS A VERY NICE RACE . YOU COULD NOT OF HAD THAT MUCH EXCITEMENT WITH OUT REED ! JAMES EARNED IT. HE ROCKS!!!

  • Anonymous Says:

Yeah we also heard larry brooks say that Kyle Chisholms incident the week before was perfectly acceptable. Anyone who watched that occur and thinks that is acceptale is worthy of a good gouging of the eyes.

  • BIG MF Says:

IT WAS A VERY NICE RACE . YOU COULD NOT HAVE HAD THAT MUCH EXCITEMENT WITH OUT REED ! JAMES EARNED IT. HE ROCKS!!!

  • Motoguy Says:

If Reed knocked JS down when they were going all out. Fine. Don’t try to take him out when he’s letting you by. I do trackdays all the time, imagine the guy in front of you sees you charging and lets you by. Why would you hit him?? HE’S LETTING YOU BY. Maybe there’s something wrong with his bike? Who knows? BUT YOU DON”T TRY TO HIT HIM!!SHEESH Reed may have been desparate but that was uncalled for.

  • lazyboy163 Says:

your just mad cuz stewarts the best no doubt what chislm did was wrong but either way stewart would have won the champion ship anyway he is the best so get over it

  • Anonymous Says:

If anyone really thinks the incident with Chisolm decided the title they are hallucinating. Reed lost what, a couple tenths? Stewert won by 3.7 seconds. Everyone, even the Stewert haters no that he would not want to win a title that way. Reed is a great rider but needs to borrow a line from RC. When you lose, you put in a great ride but it wasn’t enough. COngrats to JS7 and our NW boy RV!

  • Christian Says:

whatever..it was a good season…i think the supercross only contracts need to go away…what ever happened to hard work….less rockstar..how about riding a full season..js might be the fastest (whan he’s been on two wheels)….i respect that…but chad really stepped up this year…give the dude some credit…who cares about the tire tap in the sweeper….remember jacksonville??? and at least it wasn’t a runaway..i was glued to the tv every week..

  • Jeff Says:

what does that even have to do with what i said. stewart honestly looked like a squid out there. he almost through it away and almost went over the bars a good two or three times. the way he was riding i honestly thought his bike was seazing up or something.

  • Anonymous Says:

Dirty riding, clean riding who cares, at least it was exciting and fun to watch, i was edge of my seat for the last half of the 250 main and the entire 450, wish every race was that much fun to watch, if it were these guys would get what they all think the sport needs new fans and more exposure, hopefully the outdoors are that much fun to watch this year !

  • Jamaica MX Says:

Loved it! RV2 FTW, JS7 FTC!!

  • Anonymous Says:

i gained a lot of respect for reed this year cause he was actually riding very good but after last night, i dont like him much. he just cant win when the true champs are riding.. stewart did what he had to to win and he has the number one plate so all reed can do is cry like he has for the past week…..

stewart had nothing to do with what chisholm did… thats just one of reeds many excuses for not being able to beat stewart… i agree that it would have been a much better race in slc without chisholm but stewart would have beat him anyways…

  • Dave Chappelle Says:

I don’t know if a couple of you are assuming someone is racist for quoting the very funny and talented Dave Chappelle, but I hope you are not. A couple of you got the joke. The only reason I posted it in the first place was because of the actual racist comment about chicken and watermelon from another poster.

I grew up riding in the southern california desert as a teen in the late 80’s. The military has moved me around a lot the last few years from Cali to Florida and now Oklahoma of all places. So I got to see all kinds of riders and styles over the last few years and I must say that those kids from Florida are probably the most talented right now. So I am not surprised that James Stewart and RC hail from Florida, because I feel that the power has definitely shifted east.

My 6 year olds son’s hero is James Stewart and I love it. Of all the motocross fans out there, the total number of you that don’t like him because he is not white is less than 1%, which is good. I don’t want to leave my family and fly combat missions over Iraq for a country of racists. I want to do it because the ideas and the people of America are worth defending, and most of you are worth it.

The only reason I brought up the 80’s is to put the pass into context. I did think it was a little cheap on Reed’s part, but, lets not kick the guy out of the country for it, right?

James is 100% deserving of the championship. I am totally pumped that I get to see such a talented rider who is humble and great for our sport. Sorry I rambled.

  • We$t $ide Says:

Chad has been showing his true self the past few weeks, he is a straight up C(_)NT - good racer and showed grit a few times this season, but a total pu$$y and gutless C(_)NT when it comes time to man up and take his medicine.

Outdoors without him and JS7 will be much better to watch with RV, the Red Bull Honda team and Alessi putting on some good back and forth battles. Shorty owes 800 a punt, my guess is turn 6 at Glen Helen.

  • KO-D Says:

ahh yes. the most fun of my day is when i get on the mx sites and see people argueing about the races. reed proved a point in his pass. its been all “reeds a dirt rider.. thats how he rides” well… reed could of put him in the parking lot but he didnt. stewart knew it was coming, in the 37 replays speed had, stewart stood the bike up and looked him in. reeds taken a dale e sr. aproach to it, hes agressive. no cake walking.

also… if reed is so dirty then what is stewart? how many people has stewart taken out, knocked down, jumped over their heads on his ballistic and frantic runs from last to first. so just watch the racing and have fun with it. i cheered for them both.

  • racefan Says:

So when was the last time anyone can remember Reed crashing from riding over his head?
Stewart is always hitting the ground from riding out of control. Eventually Stewart will crash and really hurt himself and maybe start to ride within his limits..

Maybe Reed will begin to let go a little and hang it out there and ride on the edge to matxch Stewart’s speed. He will have to get out of his comfort zone.

  • KTMboy07 Says:

No Kyle’s move wasn’t acceptable but skippy’s move last night was? Your a fool if you think Kyle’s move had any impact on the outcome of the race,Chaddy was done.

  • anonoymous Says:

You guys are dicks aye. have any of you even raced a supercross?? Reed & Stewart are at the top of there game and the probly love reading this shit you right about them. isn’t stewart not riding outdoors?? and to say that reed isn’t in mx for the love. In the offseason he’ll be in aus trying to build the sport up and also putting his own money into it. you guys are so fake. get off the computer and go have a ride or do sumthing for the sport…. sick of the bullshit

  • SMOKINU Says:

You guys can fight and argue all day on the stupid internet and bash each other. If it wasn’t for Reed or Stewart we wouldn’t of had a great racing season! The move that was pulled at the Las Vegas race by Chad on Stewart… Well thats racing boys! Gotta do what ya gotta do! This has been the best season I have seen in a long time! Lets be real here, Reed has not whined lately.. All I hear is he has, no he hasn’t. But from stewart all I hear is the Waaaaambulance! Such a Cocky guy! You have to stay confident at that level to be on top! I congrat both riders for making us have such a great season! If it wasn’t for these two who knows what action we would have seen? It would have been just another boring 450 class with one guy always winning. Ya tell Reed to go back home. But who is there to challenge Stewart? Villipoto, Grant, Windham? Who knows? How can you call someone slow and not as fast as stewart knowing Reed is in the top fastest guys in the world? He could kick any of your guys asses that are calling him slow and to go back home. If you tell him to go back home, then ya might as well just tell everyone to quit! This internet arguement crap is so stupid! Get a freaking life and talk about something freaking positive then to sit around and bash each other it is flat out stupid! These Two made an AWESOME season! Thanks to them we had a great season to watch! Without em who knows what would’ve happened. Whats done is done and quit arguing about the past my hell you guys. the whole Chisolm deal at SLC I was there and saw it, that was cheap, and who cares if Stewat wasn’t involves it was cheap. And the move Reed made on Stewart was awesome! That IS FREAKING RACING! DO WHAT YOU HAVE TOO!!! Lets remember this season as something great! And lets see what happens outdoors this season!

  • Anonymous Says:

i was gonna make some before this weeks race here, but i couldnt find any purplr flavor anywhere. Dave chapelle clearly stated that it takes sugar, water, and purple to make purple drank. Where the FU@K do i find purple at? I did make some awesome waffles though. Oh and if black people are the best in sports , i know of a couple exceptions of that. 1.Quarterbacks- this position requires brains, no great clack QBs. 2.Any other form of racing, Stewart is the lone exception to black folk in racing. 3.Hockey. I dont believe ive ever seen a brother on the ice. 4.Baseball- Theres a few brothers out there, but mostly white folk and hispanics. Just thought i’d put that out there.

  • TsmithMX Says:

Larry Brooks is an Ahole, really? the suzuki guys are cry babys? Grow up, what a Dbag…

  • Anonymous Says:

Yep Reed fans cant spell. But i bet all you Stewart fans cant ride worth a fucck. Talkin about Chads a dirty rider, boo fucckin hoo, if any real racer had that same option they wouldve parked stewarts punk ass in the cheap seats. So sit behind your computers and talk shit about Reed, he could still pound Stewarts ass in a fight .

  • dscott25 Says:

JS is the champ and Reed is not. Reed showed class throughout the season and stewart did not. Stewart needs a new team. You are who you hang out with.
Pourcel was cool and calm like ever race he won. Dungy shoed soem amazing speed. Strouoe again is hot/cold all seaosn long. This will be one hell of an outdoor season in both 250 and 450 class. In the 250 class there are 7-9 legitimate contenders for the #1 plate. If Reed races the outdoor then there are 3 legitimate contenders, Reed, Villopoto and Alessi (shorty and windham if they stop being pussies and ride to their potential).

  • DogballsDave Says:

farkoff u lot, what are all farking BUBBA?… CHAD REED is a CHAMPION!, he WILL come back and challenge ANYONE including BUBBA. where were the rest of the field all season?, reed has the AUSSIE hard core drive to do it…..

  • mobber331 Says:

ok i like the pics of reed stewart and villopoto..but come on..more than 3/4 of those were of them. You need to put up some pics of some other rider like lets say tyler bowers. Seriously Donn. and 20 blurry pics of the same damn section? dude…

  • Kyle G Says:

    yeahhh, RV will rip outdoors.

  • Kinik Says:

Congrats Ryan! Congrats James! Congrats Chad! Thanks for an exciting season to all SX riders. I only dream of being able to ride like they do. Props to Transworld for all of the great media coverage.

DogballsDave what kind of marihuana are you smoking. Reed will never win have you notes that reed 2 championchip he got was because stewar and carmichael wasnt racing (CHAD REED is a f*ching baby he always cries and think back to 2006 stewar never did a dirty move on Carmichael so he can win the champion chip only reed dose that reed should go back to his country and never race in the AMA ) Bubba#1

  • Drake #411 Says:

Jeff does a good job comitating.

  • oldschool racing Says:

REED take a good hard look at the tapes of this season.BE a real good X-champ and say what you see. He made up over 20 points, took it from you twice, Look in the rearview and be real with yourself BUD! He road grate, caught and passed you and came away #1 When your racing things happen, Except it, take it like a true champ , speak the truth and the public will bring you inn with open arms. Any one thing could have changed the season ,I hardly think KYLE kept you from winning, When js missed the shift at A1 and you hit him & you both went down .He came back, He came back in a very big way, down one hole race!

    GOOD LUCK in AUSSI
PS Tell Darrell Pascoe every one in the states says HI !

  • G- Snatch Says:

funny thing is villipoto beat james stewart strait up before reed did.

  • G- Snatch Says:

i dont know what race you were watching, but i watched las vagas and at the end he didnt complain about what Reed did. He only mentioned it.

  • RYAN Says:

I was talking about the most talented racer idiot. Not all around. This is a RACE REPORT, on SUPERCROSS. Something TP cant even stay alive in nowadays. But i do also give TP huge props

  • Bink794 Says:

I honestly thought bubba was pulling a repeat of the 2001 national at unadilla where he slowed up and let Reed pass him only to blow back by him. That would have been sic.

  • G- Snatch Says:

anonymous, you say that reed was making an aggressive yet clean pass. Well considering james was trying to let chad go by, i dont consider that a pass. what is the purpose for passing a rider aggressivly who is just letting you by. I like how reed waited until the fastest section of the track to take out stewart rather than just go by when stweart pulled over.

  • G- Snatch Says:

ya your right, reed beat stewart strait up. Even though stewart pulled over multiple times for reed to pass him and was running at half his normal pace. I guess you can see reed beat him strait up….kinda…not really.

  • nickatina Says:

chad reed had a perfect opportunity to pass stewart but he didnt take it. that tells me that he was trying to put pressure on stewart to him fall. but then he goes and pretty much purposely tries to make him fall. because reed knew that if stewart fell then he might win. i love stewarts comment at the end when they asked him if was surprised by reeds move and he said, “nah thats just how he rides”

  • ross Says:

Reed is been a dirty dirt rider, he really tried to take James down so more riders could pass James .That was the only thing left for him to try,NOTHING ELSE THINK ABOUT IT.
I WISH REED COULD BE AS FAST AS JS7 AND NOT ONLY COUNT ON JS7 MISTAKES OR PLAY DIRTY GAMES.
IF HE TAKES JS7 DOWN THAT WAY THEY SHOULD BLACK FLAG HIS BUTT OUT OF THE TRACK!!!

REED, A LITTLE TIP FOR YOU:
TRY TO BE FASTER NEXT SEASON. AND BE CLEAN.

  • Anonymous Says:

He had nothing to do with it yea right you dumb@ss

  • Anonymous Says:

Yea he is always complaining about Reed if he was so fast why is Reed close enough to make dirty moves. ooo and if stewart isn’t dirty he sure is an idiot I seem to remember Stewart the moron landing on Carmichael in outdoors because he couldn’t hang Stewart is a joke.

  • kip Says:

Yah, that was definately a take out move but who can blame him? The AMA left him no choice but take matters in his own hands. What was he supposed to do? They need to create a rule that will penalize the entire team for stuff like what happened in SLC so it won’t happen again (including Reed’s attempted take out move). Otherwise, why not?-last one.

  • kip Says:

not cool! Don’t say that kind of shit!

  • Anonymous Says:

Theres alot of ppl on here that would have done the same thing if then were in Chads position, there was a championship at stake and alot of money. A true racer will do what ever he thinks he has to do to win a championship. As for dirty racing that used to be part of the sport and now with all the rules its not the same.

  • Anonymous Says:

No I haven’t but at least I don’t have to hide because im afraid Reed is going to beat my @ss

  • paul Says:

did anyone actually watch the race bc when reed made the sketchy pass RC even said he didnt finish the pass

  • Homeskillet Says:

Really, Am I missing something? I thought Villo. and Reed both placed ahead of Stewart last night. Straight up? I don’t think so. In sports they call that a gimme. Truth is Stewart let them both by on purpose. I’m not sure why you guys are so threatened by Reed? You really want a boring season next year? Trust me, next year is gonna be a carbon copy of 09. It will be James and Reed all year. Villo may win a race or two but that is it. Reed has been either 1st or 2nd. for the last 6 years. Why will 2010 be any different? Reed and Stewrt are both great. Anyone to say different is immature and childish. Grow up.

  • john Says:

emig is acceptable; probably not the easiest of jobs. Nobody was better than David Bailey - period. Reed’s a jackass. So glad he lost. Also glad he purposely tried to take Stewart out so the world can see what he’s actually made of - dog doo doo. I actually started to gain respect for him over the past couple years… until this year. What a joke. Yes, “rubbing is racing,” but blatantly - coasting across the track until your tired meets your competitor’s just goes to show that you actually don’t believe you’re truly faster than the fasted guy on the track. Anyway, there isn’t much to argue here - the proof is on the tape. Reed’s a fool (waah, ‘we had one bad race.’ Dude, Stewart DNF’d and beat your ass! Ha. Sweet justice… Next year, RV battles JS for #1 and Reed will be consistently 3rd.

  • john Says:

Dave, you’re an idiot. Reed will never do better than consistent 3rd’s next year. His championship hopes are over and he knows it. Bye bye crybaby

  • john Says:

reed is done. RV on his way up. JS will carry the crown for a couple years unless he gets bored or hurt

  • Grant Says:

Is stewart racing the outdoor national’s??? and did anyone eles hear reed say in the interview that we might see him in a couple weeks???? yes thats right he is going to race outdoors!! GO REED!!!!

  • mxertj616 Says:

This Jeff kid is a dush….Stewart is not a squid…he would so kick ur ass just like he kiked ur little boy friend chad reed so fukin deal with the fact that stewart let reed and RV by to ensure victory. so @#$% off

  • Jarrett Dean Says:

1st, Big UPS and mad props to RV~!!! Second, I am not a Chad Reed fan, but if it weren’t for him challenging Stewi all season consistently, the season would have BLOWN! Last, Reed HAD to do what he did when he put Stewi in the tuff blocks - the championship was on the line and you do what you have to do, or at least try, so I give him a “A” for effort. Oh, and you RETARDS on here need to learn how to spell - commentator - it’s not rocket science! The youth of today are idiots!~

Stewart Looked like a chumped out there looking back wiating for Reed to pass him, tha was lame ass boooo! Chad was so pissed that he riding like a baby and not racing him and racing for the fans he decided to stuuf him and good on him ive would of don the same thing! stewart fast enough to win and win big and the point is he didnt he just rode like a f@k#mn SPODE!! Villopoto will smoke his dumb ass!!!

  • Anonymous Says:

I agree racist is bad and race isn’t inporntant so mabye stewart should be treated the same as the rest of the riders and not get special treatment because he is black like a E:60 interview and people saying he is the first black this and that because I don’t care how fast he is he has nothing on Carmichael and his carrer so until he has ooo I don’t know 10 championships then he isn’t as great as some of you people make him out to be. As far as white trash I admit that yes there are so dumb@ss white people but we have all herd how blacks talk about whites so be far because really your skin color doesn’t make you faster or slower… right?

  • Kiniko Says:

Same thing in Seattle too. Unfortunately, I believe that contingent will likely be represented in some way(no matter how small or insignificant that group happens to be).I choose to believe that the majority of my fellow brothers and sisters are not this way and I focus on that. That’s what gets me through. Black, white, left, right. Whatever. Keep the faith! Peace!

  • Shane Circle Says:

I guess not.Reed and Stewart met up last night behind a local allnight Restaurant two blocks from the stadium.James had his entourage with him .Reed was with his wife. Some words then a fight broke out.I couldn’t see all of it.At the end Chad’s nose was bleeding. His wife was yelling at him.”Why can’t you finish it?”she said.Reed’s face was hamburger. They left just before police arrived.

  • Anonymous Says:

Well okay. Referencing your logic if I may, is it fair to say that people hanging over a fence flipping him off and calling him a ni***r is the same treatment that all of the other riders get? Don’t get me wrong. Ignorance comes in all shades and colors. But there is no denying that he brings a new dynamic to the sport by default. That in conjunction with his current success I think was the crux of the ESPN piece.

  • Anonymous Says:

you’re a moron. Reed will never contend for another championship and you know it. He’s done. I look for him to get 3rd next year if he’s even still around. Or maybe he’ll go race GP’s…

  • Anonymous Says:

some of the best takes here. I totally agree that Suzuki should take a hard look at Reed. Sure he has the speed to be a factory rider, but the top teams need respectable, legitimate racers and role-models, and what Reed showed me in Vegas was certainly not that. And yes, it IS a shame. I think Suzuki could really help their image if they let him go and brought in someone who really respected the sport

I know racers read these sites, curiousity has to take the better of them. Reed, great season bud. You are a tough guy and your right, you did what anyone else in your position would have done. Tough season man, you gained some true fans in the process and thats the most important thing. Bubba, also, good season. You came back from alot and showed your speed. Who wouldnt be that excited after a season like that? If you and Reed werent a little heated toward each other than it wouldnt be so interesting to the rest of us. I hope RV can continue to make it a 3-way dance next year maybe Grant too. Who knows maybe Lawrence or someone else will join in. Thanks for a great season guys.

  • luckydmc Says:

Right Suzuki is going to let Chad go, what a joke. Hell they put up with Travis for years, but they are going to let Chad go for showing some frustration in the final round of one of the tightest championships ever. Idiots, have any of you people actually raced? Emotions run high, it happens, you lose your cool. Hell I’ve seen guys lose it at my local track, and we are talking about pressure on a whole other level with these pros. Suzuki gonna drop Reed, sheesh.

  • luckydmc Says:

Enough! I could find instances in both of their careers that you could make an argument that both JS and CR are dirty with no class. I could also find instances that you could make the case that they are both mature. Whatever.

These guys believe they deserve the top spot in every single race period. Anyone in their way is just an obstacle. I have seen James countless times have to come from behind in a race put the same kind of pass on everyone coming through the field even though he was faster. Same with Chad. Who cares. It is what it is.

Usually they guy doing the pass says thats racing, the guy getting passed says its dirty. Always been that way, and always will. Next season is going to be sweet.

I saw it and loved it!

Shorty! Windham! Hotsauce! Villipoto! HOO HAA great job guys

  • Just a Fan Says:

You have a valid gripe but you must have missed RV during the podium after mass. He stated that based on the "War" not the "Race" he thought Stewart would either put up a big fight or none at all, the latter is what happened. RV himself and his team were very, very happy as they should have been but Team Green was merely a part of the collateral fall out of the bigger picture. Sorry, that's just the way it s. Anyway it looks like RV could reign supreme in the outdoor building some much needed momentum for Super Cross 2010. Don't worry, with every race he will become more and more a nightmare for Stewart and Reed. Let's just say I don't see anyone winning 11 races in SX2010. Props are again in RV's future, they will come when they are truly due, believe me.

There is not a much better or simpler way to put it terry E. Sadly though some will say "it was just racing" if Reed pulled out a pole and clothes-lined across the neck.

  • ninjagreen Says:

Reed did take Stewart out the first race of the season. That's the only reason it came down to Vegas. Stewart was in a position where he HAD to win. A lot of pressure. That's harder than just getting on the podium every race or being consistent (Reeds plan). A take out, followed up by an attempted take out and Reed still lost the title. That bout sums it up up. At least you're honest about your inferiority. Being straight up about how low you'll stoop to win is somewhat more respectable than Reed. I expect more from a pro.

  • ninjagreen Says:

Well Reed must be a Stewart fan because loosing & whining about it sure sounds like Reed.

  • ninjagreen Says:

If he's so intelligent he should "think up" a way to get faster because the consistency plan didn't work.

  • ninjagreen Says:

You do all you can, but how far is too far? I've heard of a block pass to slow down another guy's momentum but damn. he may as well had kicked him off the bike. And if "any one of you" whoever the hell that is, would have done the same thing, you don't need to be racing. You need to take your sorry a$$ to a nascar track.

  • big boy Says:

of course reeds guna be riding wild in the last round he wanted the title bad and wanted to prove to every one stewart can be beaten but he went and messed it up!

  • stephylorette Says:

Here here! you are so Right!
Stewart is THE MAN! Too bad he isn't riding MX this year. I will mis seeing him up close & personal on te track. Seeing an out door even live is the most amazing thing!
Go Bubba! Keep rocking! I am sure chad will keep crying because he is never quite "good enough" whah!

  • stephylorette Says:

ha ha joke is on you then ! Stewart is the man & reed is a whining snizzling aussie brat.

  • stephlorette Says:

I recorded the race did you? If you did then perhaps you should rewatch the spot where Reed flat out states that he didn't have any other options & he thought that taking stewart out was his only chance!

Reed just sucks under pressure…. he has been working on it, but it was not enough because he still can't win a championship when Stewart is racing…

  • Sweden Says:

Reed and Bubba are the fastest guys, and those who's talking shit about them shows how jelous they are and how old they is !! Didnt u hear what larrybrooks said? JS7 was 25points away, and he gave it all and now he has the red plate #1 JUST LOOK AT THE SCOREBOARD, who won? Dont hate the players, love the game, im hoping that alla of the motocross riders / fans are so real that they like it instead of hate it, then u can quit and start with soocer instead.. Im gettin so sad when i read everyones crap, we will never be as fast as them!

SO DONT BE SUCH A IDIOT ! RIDE TRAINING AND HAVE FUN !!!!!!!!!

  • MBR Says:

Anybody that sais reed has no class for makin that move on stewart is a freakin idoit and obviously has never one a race before..it's part of racing and if i was in that position i would have done the same thing..no matter who it was

  • Mitch Haines Says:

If you are going to write crap, you should learn to spell.

  • reed king Says:

maybe you should learn to spell…your a fucking retard

  • ninjagreen Says:

So many wish for this to happen for it's likely the only way Reed will win. A coward hopes for his rival to fall cause he knows he can't defeat him himself. A worthy competitor want to defeat his rival, not hope for the rival to fall. I actually compete in running hurdles.I never hope for my competition to fall, I want to know I beat him. I guess when you're tired of loosing, you'll take a win any way you can get it.

  • Chris Says:

This racing fools, Reed did what he needed< James was smart.Go RV outdoors!

  • md331 Says:

You Raciest Piece of Garbage. Leave the white hood at home. James is a Great Champion and your too much of a biggit to see how much talent he has. If you can't watch him ride not and say "That's F'n Amazing" then obviously you have never rode before………Did you ever RC pull that crap that Reed did? NO, that's why RC and James have had the best battles ever!!!!!!!!

  • Patty Says:

What Reed did was not a block pass- he wanted to take him out- That is not racing - that is trying to injure- If you have to take someone out to win - you don't deserve to win in the first place- I would like to know why he wasn't sanction like everyone else- Reed has always been a sore loser. I have been following his career since the beginning. There are winner who deserve to win like McGarth, Hannah, Carmicheal, Johnson and yes James Stewart. I will never be a fan of Reeds.

  • stephylorette Says:

VP should be a good contender… how about Shorty? Guess we will find out in a couple more days!
